I WILL LOVE DRAWING FOREVER!!! but lately posting has felt demoralizing...

"Engagement" everywhere for artists feels reduced to counting numbers. but numbers mean NOTHING to a lover of rarepairs like me lol and tumblr tags feel so much more...demure(empty)...nowadays

tbh i hate the timeline where i get in my head, thinking posting art feels less like i'm sharing with Anyone and more like i'm probably just feeding my art into an ai database

i always hope the fanart i share will inspire someone to share a silly or thoughtful comment/idea. But a really sweet message like yours feels like it could feed me for a winter

a lot of the lovely messages i'm sent aren't published. but i save them all!!! it's why i love sharing here!! i feel a new layer of gratitude for these kind of comments so thank you thank you thank you to anyone that's ever left a kind word for me or any artist who's work you enjoy.

learning watercolor ~ i'm finding it quite the struggle but the ability to edit my watercolors on procreate helps a lot. it teaches me a lot about color and what i want to implement moving forward in painting.

learning is a process. sometimes you're going to like what you create, sometimes not. the process comes in waves, in stages. if you ponder over it and find your favorite parts you can go from there, improve upon it. sometimes completely recreate it to turn it into something you like. C: art is a journey...
