If you don't like an oc, try not reading about them! You don't have to tell the author that their character is Wrong and Bad.

This post is about a trend that I have seen with people in fandom and sadly especially in the RT fandom to not just accept that they don't like something. What I've noticed is this need to assert loudly that they are Wrong.

The people playing with ideas didn't do this. They are just having fun. They are not causing drama. It's the people playing lore police that are causing it when they should have just blocked it and moved on.

But yes, as someone who writes 90% porn, I accept that people might not like that. They might not like my character. They might not like the fact that I'm a blunt bitch making posts like this. I do not expect everyone to like me. I do expect people to not come over and kick over the sandcastle I'm playing with because they want everyone to do sandcastles in the way they see fit in their fandom sandbox.

Because what is the goal here? To get fewer people in this already small fandom? To make people feel bad? To make yourself feel good for knowing about this lore instead of helping people start learning about it? This is not community and these aren't conversations. You're just the person on the outside in this meme:
