It's been a while since this has been discussed in the academy then I found my original post from 2017 on the topic. Figured a reminder was overdue... Over the last 15 years great steps have been taken for the development of Kernow Martial Arts in particular regarding our stance against all forms of political, racial, religious, disability and sexual intolerance both within Kernow Martial Arts and the community as a whole. We believe that Kernow Martial Arts should be a place where people of any age, ability, race, faith and sexuality should feel safe and comfortable. It has always been agreed that any individual considered to be discriminatory against any minority groups or individuals, within or outside of Kernow Martial Arts, will not be welcomed within our organisation. Throughout all classes we take moves to promote these core values of martial arts and to continue to create a feeling of inclusiveness for all. We have always hoped that all students and parents will support us in our quest for equality in Martial Arts. We have always had a policy where staff and volunteers should refrain from commenting on any topics which can be considered controversial or could cause offense especially on social media platforms. After all we the instructors and volunteers are the role models and leaders within our communities and should therefore lead by example and make a clear statement to students and the wider community of our intent. #KernowMA #Kernowmartialarts #futureblackbelts #rolemodels #futureleaders #instructors #teachers #Cornwall #StAustell #Camborne #Launceston #MtCharles #LannerSchool #TMAmbassador #Toughmudder #KernowKrav #paddrills #martialarts #SelfDefence #kravmaga #tnt #cardio (at Kernow Martial Arts) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9F6iiOn3N6/?igshid=iepckotevgsp
