so we all know what happens here, lance gets onto keith for trying to save shiro before him. lance has already said that shiro is his hero, and he’s probably never met the guy before in his life. shiro’s just come back from a mission where everyone thought he was dead and now he has some metal prosthetic arm that looks scary, right? look how nonchalantly lance just takes the arm, not caring that it’s non-human, not caring that shiro is missing his real arm, not being scared or grossed out or whatever else, just focused on wanting to save his hero. not to mention he grabs the arm with both hands and then doesn’t hesitate to swing it around his shoulder to help carry him out.

it kind of makes the scene where shiro reaches his arm out to shake lance’s hand mean even more, because it’s definitely not lance being scared of the arm, it’s definitely him just being in awe (and okay, maybe worrying a little lmao) of his hero standing in front of him
