Don’t get angry at yourself for feeling drained. Growth takes a lot of energy. It’s really not as simple as it looks.

“You are your own person. But yet, look around you. You are connected. You are supported. There are people that surround you who love you very much. There are those who cherish you even at your weakest. Another’s love may seem invisible, unbelievable, or non existent. But yet, it is still there, and is stronger than ever. You are supported. Always.”

Stop. Relax. The world is not on fire all of the time. The skies are not about to tumble onto you. You are safe. Supported. Breathe in, breathe out.

The other day I watched a little boy get knocked to the ground by an older kid who was running by. He burst into tears as his mother hurried over.

Also if you have a crying kid give them a cup of water. You can’t cry and drink at the same time and it gives them a chance to calm down.
