An OC of mine, Judgement :D With RPG Maker MV coming out soon I kind of wanna do a short project with him in for fun?

A piece that turned experimental to see what kind of result I could get with colouring the lineart. I included the plain lineart too though. I know I’m a far way off when it comes to getting the kind of look of lines I want, but there are parts I like how it came out.

June ‘14 vs Sept ‘15

So for those who don’t know, due to just a heavy amount of stuff going on in my life I’ve decided to take time away from my Comic for some time.

During this time it occurred to me that I can actually focus on working on just improving my art. For those who don’t know my comic you can see it at www.starryday.net. It’s a neat style to work with, but it really limits me, and working 38 hours a week + social obligations + down time literally leaves me with not much time for anything else.

But I just opened Photoshop and in 20 minutes (give or take) I made the above. I’m actually pretty damn impressed with myself with the results, especially as someone who for some reason thinks he really doesn’t have a grasp of how to art properly in Photoshop (my comic works with a lot of pen tool and gradients), and I guess part of me is annoyed with myself. If this is literally what I can pull out of my butt without much effort, where would I have been if I had been putting my mind to random other art? Or even stuff I actually pour my heart into and spend a lot of time on.
