I’m literally sitting here just staring at my computer because all of my brain’s energy is being used to deal with that very fact. People on Twitter are like ‘omg Kenny retweeted you!’ and I’m like THAT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WHY I AM BLOWN AWAY BY THIS.

The thing is! Your feeling is absolutely not tinhattery! All along this has been a gay story, and even though we can all clearly see that, LGBT folks are extremely conditioned to find every reason why a thing might not be LGBT. Both because people think if there’s one gay or trans person on a tv commercial or whatever it’s being shoved down their throats, and because we are constantly constantly disappointed by hoping the LGBT undertones we see will become overtones. So we say things like “shameless tinhatter” and make up terms like “golden lovers truther” rather than dare to believe what we’re seeing is real. Even though we can clearly see it’s fucking real.
