“Wha– gross, no! There’s no way I’m eating that,” he said firmly, scrunching his nose with disgust at the thought. 

“But it’s for the insta gram post!” Ken pouted and flashed bright blue puppy dog eyes at him

      it’s raining out, so she’s in a bright yellow rain jacket with red rain boots that go up to her knees … filled all the way up with water. needless to say, faline’s not as cheery as usual … yet she can’t help that wet socks hurt her. she looks miserable, standing there by the bus stop, like a grumpy five year old. ❛ please don’t laugh at me. i’m not having fun.  ❜

“Oh honey i’m not laughing at you, it’s that jacket. I’ve never seen anything so hideous! Where on earth did you buy that?” Ken shook his head as he passed her a spare clear kate spade umbrella

Andrina grinned as the lei was placed over her head, a giggle slipping past her lips, “Knew I could count on you getting me lei’d again,” she joked. Her eyes lit up as he continued to list things, this party exactly what she needed. She rolled her eyes, grabbing the invitation from her little purse and passing it to his expectant hand, “What do you take me for? Of course I have the invitation.”

Ken’s smile grew as she passed over the paper “Yass! Okay i’m just so excited you’re finally here! You need a drink asap!” He threw his arm around her shoulders as he steered her toward the tiki bar set up by the pool serving icy drink in festive hollowed coconuts and pineapples “Two frozen margaritas asap!” he snapped his fingers at the bartender and the drinks appeared almost instantly complete with paper umbrellas. He took a sip and let out  a dramatic moan “Damn I out did even myself this time!” He gaze got distracted at something over Adrina’s shoulder “Okay don’t look now but hottie lamati with the swimmers body is checking you out right now... Mmmm, damn speaking of getting “laid”!” 

“Well, yes. It does play a major part in soccer, seeing how I play on it.”

“Well I used to soccer, but I repeat ew. I would never get dirt on myself.”

Remy stared at Ken quizzically for a long moment, glancing down at the lei around his neck and the outstretched hand. “Uh, I don’t know if you remember me. I was hired to help with catering. Not a party guest, no invitation. Remy Oswalt,” Remy shook Ken’s hand bravely anyways.

Ken blinked as he glanced the other up and down “You’re the private chef? No offense, but I thought you’d be older and not as... fit” His gaze lingered on the other for a minute before he shot him a charmingly white smile “Well thank you for coming and here let me show you to the kitchen...” He gestured for the other to follow him as he led him into the mansion “The wait staff is all ready for you and I made sure to stock up on everything you’d need...” They reached the room, the all stainless steel appliances gleaming and the plates and tools all lined up on the white marble counter top, the large room was brightly lit with a gigantic chandelier dangling from the ceiling. “Is there anything else you want? Can I get you a drink? Or do you need any help or anything?”

“An interior design? Cool. You know, I just started looking for my own place recently. I haven’t had much luck, but I think it has more to do with the fact I can’t decide where I want to live. Do I want to be in the city….by the beach….in an apartment…in the woods..” Toulouse rattled on, awkwardly planting himself in the passenger seat of a rather flamboyant vehicle, “Dude, this is insane.”

“I’d say the beach, but what are you looking for in particular? Somewhere close to everything? An area a bit quieter?” He turned the engine on and the spice girls cd blasted out of the speakers which he quickly turned down “This is insane? Wait till you see the house” 

There were hearts in her eyes as soon as she saw the decorations. Lilo missed Hawaii. She missed it so much that it ached. As soon as the lei came to rest on her shoulders, she felt more like herself than she had in months. “I… forgot it,” she tried, hoping against everything he would let her past. She didn’t want to lie. She really didn’t. But she had to get into this party. If she didn’t, her whole life would be ruined.

Ken let out a loud laughed at the forlorn tone of her voice as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders “Don’t sweat it! They were more of just a keepsake/decoration. The more the merrier and I don’t think i’ve seen you at a Ken Carson party before so we need to pop your bubble asap! But first...” He clucked his tongue and shook his head as he looked down at her outfit “We have to get you changed! You don’t fit the theme at all! Right this way c’mere.” He ushered her into a private tent set up by the entrance with dozens of Hawaiian floral themed shirts and dresses on racks for her to pick from “Hmmm what do you think about the green...” He held up a light green halter top with a pink and blue print and held it up to her body not waiting for her to respond before shaking his head “No, no... OH! This one is perfect!” He shoved a short sleeved red ankle length dress with a large white leaf design into her arms and pointed to a sectioned off part where she could change “Hurry up! We have to get our drinks we gotta try the wave pool and the indoor guided nature hike before the dancers get here!”

“Oh sweetie no..” Rita said with a bit of a laugh. “Disco died awhile ago, and I think it’s one of those things that should really stay dead.” Flipping around in the hammock so that her feet hung over the edge. Rita hummed in thought. “How about like a fantasy thing? People come in masks, like a fairy tail come to life.” Tapping on her chin, another idea came to mind. “What about a luau!” 

Ken pouted and turned his blue eyes to look at her “But... but I look so good in disco clothes!” He shook his head “Nah I feel like that’s way to similar to the mascarade one we had last week...” His eyes lit up as he grinned “OH. MY. GOSH. That’s perfect! Oh my gosh oh my gosh I could kiss you right now! That’s genius, I can picture it now! Hawaiian shirts, margaritas and hurricanes in pineapple glasses!” Ken squealed “This is going to be amazing! But what do I wear-” He gasped loudly as his face changed with a distressed expression “The pink floral print or the blue....”
