It is all about our mindset. 

Our mindset determines how we percieve the world and how the world percieves us. Our mindset determines our approach towards life. It determines the way we treat all things, people and thoughts in our reality. Hence, our mindset should be the deepest and pureset reflection of ourselves that is visible for the world around us. Our mindset set the path we want to go.

We have to shine my people :) It is up to us. We can decide whether we are afraid of things or not. And I ask you not to be afraid. Do not be afraid to dream, to shine and to rise. Dreams emerge from our hearts and souls. Dreams are vital to redefine our mindset and to leave a mark on the world. We are not able to to change the big and complex issues in the world. As individuals we are not able to end wars, to safe our planet and so on. However, all of us are able to change the way we think about these issues. We are able to do our utmost to love life. And by loving life we pay tribute to the greatest gift the universe gave us and that is how we change the world. 

I ask you to cherrish your loved ones, to be there in times of pain, grief and sorrow. I ask you to cherrish your loved ones without any condition. There is no condition in love as love is the highest and purest feeling. I ask you to love your selves. Loving yourself enables you to love others. Loving others makes the world a better place for everyone. Love for ourselves and others nourish compassion. Compassion comes without any condition attached to it. Love and compassion set us all free and let us dream. Hence, dreams are the building blocks for our mindsets. We are all running out of time. None of us is going to live forever, so make the best out of the time you have.

Smile, dance, sing, write, play, be foolish, be honest, be caring, be stupid and do everything else you want to do. Try new things and do not use age as an excuse for not doing things you like. The universe smiles when you smile, the universe dances when you dance, the universe cares when you care...and the universe does not know anything about age, gender, skin color and all the other concepts we use for excuses. 

Does the sun owe the moon? Does the tree owe the rain? Does the flower owe the bee? No! The sun shines for all of us. The trees grow for all us. The birds sing for all of us. The flowers bloom for all us. So, why do we think the world owes us? Be free, be happy and show the world how great you are.

Today I want to talk about the concepts; forgetfullness and belief. 

Like in my other posts I have to mention that I am aware of the fact that the concepts which I am talking about would easily fill hundreds of pages. There are numourous books, paper, songs and any other kind of discourse dealing with the concepts in focus. Nevertheless, I woud love to dedicated at least one post to them

Have you read the Never Ending Story written by Michael Ende? I did as a child. However, it took me nearly 20 years to understand one of the key ideas behind it. I am talking about Atreyu’s mission. Atreyu is the young warrior in the book which Bastian reads. Atreyus task is to find a cure for the ill Childlike Empress, as he believes that “The Nothing” which is about to devour the world he lives in (Fantasia) will stop destroying it if he finds the cure

It turns out that Fantasia is threaten by “The Nothing” becuase of the fact that people in the “real world” (which refers to the world in which Sebastian reads the book) have stopped believing in it and all its inhabitants. The lack of believe is the reason for the empress being ill, too. 

Cut a long story short, the plot and idea behind the book shows us that concepts, dreams, ideas and visions will die when we stop believing in them. When we all stop believing in God there will be no God. When we all stop believing in Dreams, there will be no Dreams. When we all stop believing in Love, Love will vanish off our hearts and minds. And what will hapen then? What concepts will come in to fill the void? I have seen many people from all layers of life. I have talked to men, women, children,  the young, the old, criminals, saints, demons and angels. And what I have learnt made me sad; the temples of our dreams, visions and gods are being invaded by concepts such as money, grief, hatred, indifference and other concepts that are poison to our souls. 

The book 1984 by George Orwell provides a similar example. In his book the totalitarian state Oceania created a controlled language in order to take away words that represent concepts such as freedom and peace - hence the regime is able to limit the freedom of thought. At this point I have to mention the German philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein who wrote: “The boundries of our language are the boundries of our reality”. This statement and the whole idea behind it could imply that by taking away words that represent entire moral concepts in the minds and hearts of people, these concepts will die.

The two books provide us with examples of diffrent stages in a process that could foster human life or that could destroy life as we know it. 1984 represents the first stage; words are taken away from us that are the vessels of mighty concepts. Concepts that constitute the foundation of the social construct. 

The Never Ending Story represents the second stage: after the words are gone we will forget about the concepts which were represented by the words. Once we have forgotten the concepts these concepts will die. By the time the concepts have disappeared, the void has to be filled. The question is; what do we fill tthe void with?

My Brothers and Sisters, my fellow humans, please do not forget to belief. Believing in our dreams, in our visions and in magic make the world a wonderful place. Please do not stop using powerful words appropriately, as the words convey so much more than mere dictionary definitions - words convey whole ways of life. My Brothers and sisters, please fight against the notion that money and material success are the rightful heirs to the thrones of our inner temples.  

“The planet does not need more successfull people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of all kinds” Dalai Lama.

These beautyful words are true. Why are we so obsessed with being successful? What does ‘being successfull’ mean at all? Individuals will respond with mindful statements, wise words and philosophical approaches... but as we thoroughly look at the general notion among the public and media, we will realise that we are heading towards an collective burn-out and the ultimate isolation of our selves.

Sure, the complexity of all aspects involved cannot be discussed here. Therefore it is to say that all of my statements are mere thougths, which are insipried by experiece, observation and reading.  Therefore do not take this too serious nor as a true reflection of reality. 

As we grow older we realise the importace of the concept success. We are taught to be successful, sometimes we are forced to be successful and we strive for success, too. But Why? Shifts in concepts (by concepts I mean elusive ideas of socially accepted conventions which are sometime artificially created) such as success, luck, happiness, beauty,  etc...redinfe our behaivour. In addition to that, the shifts create new links between individual concepts and narratives. These shifts inevitably lead to adaptaions in our behaviour. 

Sadly enough a lot of these shifts are dominated by the notion of money, radicalisation and individualism. I firmly belive that we humans are designed to prosper and flourish in groups, families, clans and tribes. However, the modern world with its unimagible abundance of information and possibilities apparently fulfils any kind of dream if we work hard enough, sacrifice our precious time on earth, cheat on other people, leave the weak behind, abondon our children and parents....fuck that shit! 

I know our behavouir is also dictated by insticts and survival, but come on; this cannot be right. We are obsessed by money as money represents success. How is itpossible for a piece of paper to represent an entire social construction. There is something wrong with this equation. We work mostly for other people to make our living and to make them rich.  We expect money for our time and labour and as we make more we think we are successful or better than others because we make more, drive a fancy car and have a bigger house. Why do we equate work with money. I have already said it in an other post: we should not work for money. We have to stop thinking that way. 

We should not spend our limited time in order to work for money. Of course, money is necessary to sustain our living but it should never be our motivation as it is just a piece of paper with a number on it. We should dedicated most of our time to do good, to pay attention to the little things in life, to help our brothers and sisters, take care of our parents and friends and to cherish what we have. 

Auch wenn wir es nicht jeden Tag sehen, auch wenn es nicht offensichtlich vor unseren Augen abläuft, auch wenn unser eigenes Leben zur Zeit nicht das beste ist - Die Welt ist Gut.

Ja, wir haben 42 bewaffnete Konflikte, Krankheiten, leidende Frauen, hungernde Kinder und perspektivlose Jugendliche - dies wird uns ja jeden Tag vor Augen geführt. Jedoch haben wir auch so viele tolle und schöne Dinge. Globaler Austausch von Information, weltweite Protesaktionen, nationale und internationale Menschenrechtskampagnen, unsichtbare Heldinnen und Helden. Heldinnen und Helden, die für eine bessere Welt arbeiten und kämpfen - auf allen Ebenen (technischer, sozialer, rechlicher etc.) Wir haben das Recht auf Selbstbestimmung, natürlich nicht überall, aber die Menschen wachen auf.

Denoch gilt zu sagen, all dies sind langsame Prozesse und werden einen oft nicht richtig präsentiert,  wie all die Katastrophen, Kriege und das Elend, aber sie passieren - die Welt wandelt sich. Noch nie haben wir Menschen in einer besseren Welt gelebt (außer in unseren Träumen). Noch nie konnten so viele Menschen lesen und schreiben, noch nie war die Kindersterblichkeit so niedrig (global betrachtet - nicht regionen spezifisch)

Reden wir immer nur darüber, was schlimm, krass oder traurig ist, dann gewinnt die Negativität an Stärke (ich sage nicht, dass wir blind sein sollen). Vielmehr sollten wir alle anfangen auch über die tollen und schönen Dinge im Leben zu reden. Das Leben ist ein Geschenk - das größte - und es liegt an uns es zu feiern, und andern die Möglichkeit zu geben, ihr eigens ebenfalls zu feiern.

Hier geht es nicht um eine moralische, philosophische oder ökonomische Erörterung. Dazu bin ich nicht in der Lage, aber ich weiß, dass Gut besser als Schlecht ist.

Das Wesen einer Sache, welches die Existenz jener Sache berechtigt, ist was zu suchen sich lohnt. Alles in dieser Welt, alles in unserer Realität besitzt ein Wesen und einen Grund - warum sollte es sonst hier sein. Ja sogar die "schlechten Dinge" im Leben haben einen Ursprung und somit auch ein Wesen. Haben wir erstmal das Wesen einer bestimmten Sache erkannt und verstanden, begreifen wir ein Stück mehr von unserem Wesen. Dieser Weg des Begreifens bringt uns der eigenen Existenz näher und kann uns bei der Lösung von Problemen helfen, und diese sogar beseitigen. Natürlich kann uns die bloße oberflächlichkeit der Welt entzücken, befriedigen und einen temporären Zustand der Zufriedenheit hervorrufen, aber "deep-down" wissen wir alle  um die Tiefe und Größe des Lebens. Jene Größe, die sich in Liebe, Mitgefühl, Vertrauen und all den andern abstrakten Termini versteckt. Dieses Wissen lässt uns unwillkürlich nach dem Wesen der Existenx streben, ob wir uns dem bewusst sind oder nicht. Und bei dieser Suche geht ein jeder von uns auf seinem eigenen Weg (was die Vielfalt der Manifestationen erklärt), der gleichzeitig der Weg des Lebens ist.

Das hier geht raus an all die Ghettophilosophen, Afterhourgänger, Micakrobaten, Jediritter, Weedraucher, Baggyhosenträger, Hoddylover, Wandkünstler, Freerider, Boardcruiser und Tellerartisten...

Wir alle sind einzigartig und das ist gut so. Man hat uns vieles erzählt und wollte uns für dumm verkaufen "Tut das nicht, tue dies nicht..." - fuck that shit. Die Welt ist eine neue Welt mit neuen Definition, Regeln und Wegen. Was nützen uns die alten Definition, vor allem wenn diese von Menschen stammen, die selber nur vermuten.

Hier geht es nicht darum, jemanden anzugreifen oder schlecht zu reden. Nein, hier geht es viel mehr darum, der Welt aus der ich komme etwas zurück zugeben - und was kann ich geben? Das Wort, denn am Anfang war das Wort und es geht darum, dem Wort einen neuen Platz zu verschaffen - so wie auch all das neue, all das was uns geprägt hat einen Plat verdient hat.

Die Welt dreht sich und ändert sich schnell, deswegen müssen wir unser Denken - den Prozess des Denkens - an diese Welt anpassen. Um die Welt zu feiern, in der wir leben möchten, müssen wir sie neu definieren - jeden Tag, denn jeder Tag bring was neues.

Aus diesem Grund lasst die Vernunft beseite und hört auf euer Herz, auf das Kind in euch. Nehmt den Elfenstaub und fliegt wohin ihr möchtet, tut was ihr liebt und seit down mit den Menschen, die euch etwas bedeuten. Treibt Unfung und feiert bis in die Morgenstunden, denn irgendwann holt euch das Universum zurück...und dann ist es vorbei mit der Definition.
