Start Jan 25. Every Wednesday and Thursday. Starring Nam Goong Min, Nam Sang Mi, 2PM Jun Ho. An accounting drama where Nam Goong Min’s character who previously worked for gangs, now will save a company from corruption and all its troubles. It seems fun and we love Nam Sang Mi.

Missing 9 (MBC) 

Start Jan 18. Every Wednesday and Thursday. Jung Kyung Ho (from One More Happy Ending) is back, and this time he might not have a happy ending. The theme of this drama is pretty refreshing though, it’s about survival on a deserted island after a mysterious plane crash.

Rebel: Thief Who Stole The People (MBC)

Yoon Kyun Sang’s first male lead role in a drama! Starts Jan 30. Every Monday and Tuesday. This 30 episodes long drama is a historical one, it tells story about Hong Gil Dong. It’s also starred by deep voice daddy: Kim Sang Joong and Kim Ji Suk.

Ruler: Master of The Mask (MBC)

Starts May 2017 every Wednesday and Thursday, starring Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun. Wow! We’ve shipped them already. It tells story about a crown prince, historical politics and we believe: romance. Yoo Seung Ho will play as crown prince and Kim So Hyun will play as the woman he loves.

The King Loves (MBC)

Will start somewhere in 2017, it’s another historical drama starring crown prince Im Siwan, historical chaebol’s daughter Yoona and bodyguard Hong Jong Hyun. Hmmm… smell the good ol’ love triangle already. And it seems like Yoona will play something like her character in K2 again: very beautiful and very rich. But still it’s too early to judge. Anyway, we’re still so excited for Im Siwan’s comeback after Misaeng.

Defendant (SBS)

The actors are crazy in this drama. Crazy awesome. It has Ji Sung and Uhm Ki Joon who always deliver great emotional acting. Ji Sung will play as prosecutor who is trapped for things he didn’t do and Uhm Ki Joon will play as a psycho villain that we all hate. The genre seems pretty heavy about crime and law but it seems promising. Starts January 23 every Monday and Tuesday.

Saimdang, Light’s Diary (SBS)

After 14 years, Jang Geum is finally back to dramaland and she will play two characters, as a lecturer in present who discovers a diary of a historical poet / artist: Shin Saimdang. Lee Young Ae still looks as pretty as ever and we bet the cinematography will be awesome in this one too. Starts January 26 every Wednesday and Thursday. (Oh it also has Song Seung Heon) 

My Sassy Girl (SBS)

Starts May every Monday and Tuesday. It’s an adaptation of the famous Korean movie with the same title but this one is set in the Joseon Dynasty period. Starring Joo Won and Oh Yeon Seo. This will be the last project of Joo Won before enlisting in the military. So yes we have to watch it.

Voice (OCN)

Starts January 14 every Friday and Saturday. Starring Jang Hyuk and Lee Ha Na, telling a story about a detective and professional voice profiler catching a serial killer. We’ve watched the first episode and it’s intensely awesome! We can always trust OCN for their thriller and crime drama.

Introverted Boss (TVN)

A new office theme drama that tells story about a very shy boss and all his troubles with his co-workers. Starts January 16 every Monday and Tuesday, starring Yeon Woo Jin and Park Hye Soo. We’re also excited for Ye Ji Won (Park Do Kyung’s sister in Another Oh Hae Young)

Tomorrow With You (TVN)

From the synopsis, this is probably something like The Time Traveler’s Wife movie. A beautiful yet sad romance that involves time travel. Starring Shin Min Ah and Lee Je Hoon. Starts February 3 every Friday and Saturday, this drama will replace Goblin.

Gees. Shit does happen. Ok. Move on.

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (JTBC)

A romantic comedy drama that starts February 24, every Friday and Saturday. It tells a story about a woman named Do Bong Soon (played by the adorable Park Bo Young) who has an immense physical strength. Basically she is very strong. Then she will fall in love with a chaebol, starring Park Hyung Sik. (Oh and we get to see Ji Soo in this drama too)

Man To Man (JTBC)

Another bodyguard drama that will air in May, starring Park Hae Jin, Park Sung Woong, and Yun Jung Hoon. It tells a story about a popular actor and his (gloomy) bodyguard.

Woman of Dignity (N/A) 

This drama has our favorite actresses: Kim Sun Ah and Kim Hee Sun. Thought this would be something fun like Gentleman’s Dignity. But nope. This one might be too adult and confusing for some of us, it will contain story about high society, marriage, affair, and stuff for old people. But who knows it might be interesting. It will air somewhere in 2017.

Wook gets sometimes so much hate and frankly I don’t understand why. He might not make my heart flutter the way Wang So does, but he is such an amazing character, genuinely good person and is being incredibly portrayed by Kang Ha Neul; and I’m saying this as a hardcore SoSoo shipper. Infidelity is a very pertinent issue which was featured in the original novel, where the 8th Prince even had TWO wives, however, RX’s COUSIN DID NOT LOVE HIM and he really suffered in that relationship, therefore changing the storyline in such a way where Myung Hee is Wook’s only wife and actually really loves him adds a completely new dimension to the whole story. RX’s moral dilemma ended the moment she learned her cousin didn’t love the 8th Prince, but here HS’s and Wook’s dilemma is much more profound. The restaint and the temptation of the forbidden is much stronger here. The fact that they can’t escape each other’s closeness because they live under the same roof makes it even more difficult to deal with it and resist the pull. THEY CAN’T STOP THE ATTRACTION OR THEIR FEELINGS, BUT THEY NEVER ACT ON THEM. You can protest that emotional infidelity is infidelity as well, but as love is something you cannot force or control, you can’t choose the person you fall in love with - that’s why love is emotion and emotion is not a product of the brain. It’s a fact Myung Hee understoond and accepted because SHE DID LOVE HIM and that’s what truly mattered in the end. It hits him hard because he was never able to fully reciprocate her feelings and love her back the way she did. She had his kindness and his loyalty until the very end and that means something because until the very end he didn’t succumb to his feelings for HS out of a loyalty for her. Myung Hee was severely ill and was unable to sleep with Wook nor give him children (the duty of each wife), but he never forced her or blamed her, he stood up for her in front of Queen Yoo, and despite it all he never was unfaithful to her. There are different kinds of love and it’s sad world we live in when kindness and loyalty is so terribly underappreciated. WOOK DID LOVE MYUNG HEE, IN HIS OWN WAY, he did right by her and she died in his arms happy because he cared for until the very end. The tears he cried when he carried her lifeless body were tears of loss.

When you like someone, it doesn’t matter who the person is.
