Post-Revelation Fracture (After Month 24)

When he remembers what he is, everything breaks.

He has to reckon with the truth that he fell in love while wearing the mask.

And suddenly he’s speaking again, faster, harsher, like he’s trying to undo something already done:

“I didn’t mean for it to happen like this—”

“I thought if I just—”

“You don’t understand, I—”

His voice cracks.

He stops. Tries again.
