The goddess, Isis and her baby, Horus
A couple Egyptian gods, don't look at the hands too hard (or at Thoth's tablets for that matter)
Blue Moon Hymn to Djehuty (Thoth)
Hail Djehuty, Lord of the Moonlit Word,
Keeper of wisdom by gods long heard.
Under the blue moon’s rare-born light,
You open the gates of hidden sight.
Twice-Great One, whose ibis flies
Between the earth and secret skies,
You measure the stars, the years, the sea,
And write the fates that are to be.
O Scribe Divine, whose thoughts are flame,
No secret lives beyond your name.
By this strange moon of silver hue,
Let ancient knowledge awaken anew.
Lord of Time and sacred art,
Set clear understanding in mind and heart.
As the blue moon crowns the heavens high,
Let wisdom deepen, let falsehood die.
Djehuty, shining, calm, and wise,
Moon of truth in midnight skies,
Guide our tongues and guide our hands
By the balance your law commands.

Hymn to Bastet for the Protection of a Beloved Pet
Hail to You, Bastet, Lady of Grace,
Soft-pawed Goddess who guards every place.
Mistress of Hearths where love is kept,
Protector of creatures who walk and have slept.
O She Who Purrs in the Sun’s bright flame,
Whose gentle eyes know every name—
Watch over this little one night and day,
Keep harm and sickness far away.
Drive off all shadows that linger near,
Let comfort reign, and calm, not fear.
Fill their life with health and light,
Your blessing guarding through every night.
O Bastet, Kind-Heart, Mother of Peace,
Let joy in their body never cease.
By your grace may their path be clear,
Held in your arms, forever dear.

A cozy, early morning devotional doodle while offering green tea. One of my main deities, although I especially associate her with this time of year. 💜
Bastet, She Who Protects Pen and ink on paper 30x42 cm
New art offering for goddess Bastet/Bast. She is associated with cats due to later Egyptian iconography. Her role is that of a powerful protector of the home and nurturer. Think of how important cats were in ancient times for hunting and killing disease-ridden mice in homes and crops.
She symbolizes the more benevolent and tame side of Sekhmet, the lioness. Together with Hathor, all 3 goddesses share the epithet 'Eye of Ra', denoting their solar nature.
Bastet is also associated with sensuality, festivities and joy. During the Egyptian New Year small cat statues were exchanged between households.

Trying to rekindle my relationship with art. Naturally, I decided to draw Anubis. Dua Anpu! <3
Spring Hymn to Bastet, Lady of Joy
Hail Bastet, Golden, who dances in light,
Daughter of Ra, whose heart is bright.
With soft-step grace through blooming air,
You wake the laughter everywhere.
The fields grow warm beneath your gaze,
The flowers rise in scented praise.
Your gentle paw on earth is laid,
And winter’s shadow starts to fade.
Mistress of Joy, of song and play,
You turn the night to living day.
With sistrum’s sound and bright delight,
You fill the world with shining light.
Soft is your step, yet strong your will,
You guard the home, you calm, you thrill.
In spring renewed, in warmth begun,
You purr beneath the rising sun.
O Bastet fair, with eyes that gleam,
You walk the world in golden dream.
Bring life, bring joy, bring love anew—
All beauty wakes and sings to you.
I drew Sekhmet as an act of devotion (and to inspire a tattoo for my friend’s dad)
Isis!! And Happy Woman’s Day!!!
Prayer to Sekhmet for Justice
I call upon Sekhmet: Opener of Ways, She Whose Opportunity Escapeth Her Not to enflame my swift action, to uphold ma'at, that we might do what is just, and prevail.
Turn away traitor, make action of anger, stand over our shoulders with measured breath; Great Lady of Laws, set right all injustice, for you are the Protectress of Divine Order.
I shy not away from the fury that guides me, righteously burning the bridges I must. Safeguard the fire we light in resistance. Bolster our hearts against the enemy.
I call upon Sekhmet: Unwavering Warrior, who Devours, who Burns, with Beautiful Light. Hold back the darkness, stand with our fight, and in all battles help us be victorious.
