It's finally spring in NYC! Flowers started to bloom and sure did on these cupcakes as well. One of most beautiful cupcakes in the city. They are too pretty to eat but sure is delicious!

limited seating and cash only, but totally worth it. If you are in Union Square, NoMad or Grand Central definitely try them!

Robert at MAD One of the restaurants in columbus circle area with a great view. I liked Robert better than Landmarc at Time warner center. With bright magenta and red themed chairs and menu and wide open windows facing the columbus circle. Robert is better choice for great view. But usually window seats are reserved so it would be good idea to make reservation. We were lucky since it was odd time on Sunday brunch. The Food. Mushroom omelet and grilled chicken sandwich. Very clean taste and presentation.

Unique dishes with superb taste! Menu varies time to time. Try the steak and Tuna for sure. Coming back for brunch next time.

- Best soba in NYC hands down! Chewy and clean. But I feel like portion is little.

They have three locations. Upper west, chelsea and soho. I visited upper west location. Cafe blossom has various vegetarian dishes from burgers to pasta. Tofu egg benedict is the newest addition to their menu. It has very clean taste but its a very small portion. Other menus I tried: Southern Seitan Sandwich spiced breaded seitan, caramelized onions, avocado, chipotle aioli on rosemary focaccia Soy Bacon Cheeseburger caramelized onions, tapioca cheddar, soy bacon, grilled shitake mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, chipotle aioli on a sesame bun You can choose side salad, sweet potato or regular French fries for the side served with home made ketchup!

City bakery hot chocolate festival 2013 I have not been to city bakery after all these years. February of each year, city bakery offers different hot chocolate every day. Located on 18th between 5&6 avenue. Today's selection was milk chocolate and the original. One with home-made marshmallow is original, which is darker. Hot chocolates were good but VERY thick. They almost felt like soup rather than a drink. You can probably make 2-3cups of regular consistency hot chocolate with one city bakery hot chocolate. They are definitely rich in chocolate. I want to try some other flavors before festival ends Feb 28. Check city bakery's website for daily flavor.

Basta pasta Japanese Italian Located in flat iron district, basta pasta offers one the most unique pasta selection. This was my second time visiting during lunch time. $19 three course lunch prifixe comes with choice of soup or salad, one pasta (7 choices) and dessert with tea or coffee. Salad and soup were ok. But pastas were extraordinary. First pasta is spaghetti with shrimp, cilantro and jalepino. Second one is bow tie pasta with salmon. This cream sauce is not too thick and has mustard seeds. Dessert changes time to time. This time, mixed berry cake was served with tea. Cake was very moist and cream or cream cheese served with it was so good not too sweet!

Better being. Again... I love how better being menu changes every day! Today I saw the squashbuckler for the first time and ingredients were new and different than ordinary sandwich. The Squashbuckler: Roasted Butternut Squash, Manchego, Pickled Red Onion, & Sautéed Kale on Pressed Country Sourdough And of course st.luke is all time favorite. This was good combo since squashbuckler is veggie sandwich and st.luke is packed with chicken.

Bouchon It's been very cold in the city, so Time Warner building at columbus circle was the location I go with friends to hang out. Restaurants, shops and even wholefood market at one location. This time around, Bouchon had quiche florentine! Salad has very clean taste served with poached eggs and bacon.

Inakaya Robata grill in time square. My second visit to inakaya for restaurant week. I personally think it's very good, one of the bank for your buck, restaurant week deal in NYC. Three dinner courses for $38 per person. Seared tuna salad for appetizer Grilled salmon and lobster legs with grilled onigiri fr entree Layered mochi cake with green tea ice cream for dessert. My friend got sashimi for appetizer, 7piece sushi for entree and taiyaki with ice cream for dessert. All the ingredients are super fresh. I love how you don't feel greasy and guilty after eating this meal. Last night, they served freshly made mochi for freebies. Some customers hammered mochi as well. You will be hearing a lot of Japanese phrases that employees yell that you don't understand though.

Better being 940 The Bella Burger: Portobello & Sundried Tomato Burger w/Feta, Worcestershire Mayo, Whole Wheat Bun Vegetarian burger with portobello mushroom patty. Instead of big full portobello, it's actually a patty mixed with different ingredients. I think this is healthy alternative to Shake Shack's Shroom burger, which I love but very high calorie vegetarian burger with fried portobello that has cheese inside.
