Dont let them tell you this is normal, its not. This isnt them being ~overprotective~ theyre being controlling, and these things can easily be seen as abusive.
You deserve to have friends, you deserve to love others and to go places and do things and leave your home, youre not hurting or insulting your parents by being a person, and your parents shouldnt see it as an attack. If they do, it is because youre showing freedom and they want control over you.
Normal parents are happy when you find a partner, normal parents are happy when youre invited to birthday parties and sleep overs, normal parents dont get unbelievably angry over the idea of you moving out. Normal parents do not keep you from school, afterschool activities, hobbies and so on, theyre suppose to encourage you. Theyre suppose to be there for you when you start discovering yourself, not keep you from that because they cant handle the idea of you being more than a part of them.
Im so sorry if your parents have hurt you like this, or have kept you from being able to leave the house and make connections with others, you deserve to be yourself and to go out when you want and do what you want.
