Delia had stayed to watch the boy play, he was just as good as any of the other coffee shop singer. Much better than the teenage slam poets though, she packed up laptop knowing there wasn’t any more work that she was going to get done now that the coffee house had turned into an amateur singers wet dream. “Hey, you did good. If I had any money I’d throw it into your guitar case.” She told him as he walked past her.

keda hadn’t expected the girl to have an entire group of men behind her, but he also didn’t have any intention on hurting her. i mean, they were just having fun, right? keda tries to keep his composure as she goes on about each of her brothers, “interesting,” he takes another bite so he has something to distract him a bit. “you would?” he asked, not expecting that if he was honest. “they’re both very different,” he chuckles but grins at her request, leaning over to kiss her. “my brother is a bit of a….” he doesn’t know how to put it into words. “he looks scary… well, he is a bit scary but… he’s not as bad as he looks,” he tells her, “and my sister is just very intimidating because she’s so fucking smart and her brain goes a mile a minute,” he laughs a bit.

This hadn’t even been the first time someone had decided to hop up on the bar to show the world a good time, but it was bar life so it was pretty much expected at this point. Monroe continued o pouring drinks for the other guests, though he had to wonder if this girl in particular had pregamed before coming seeing as he’d been working the night long enough to know she definitely hadn’t had too much to drink. “I’d be careful up there, don’t exactly wanna leave the bar in a stretcher if you’re not careful.”

“You really don’t uh, have to do that.” She sighed, already feeling the burden of her ankle just from their conversation. It wasn’t everyday though that she was a damsel in distress, not exactly knowing how to react to it. She nodded at his examination, Milana pursing her own lips before a sigh fell from them. “The uh, bus. Not exactly an employed woman anymore so, I was heading back home.”

scotty knew eventually he’d dance a bit, especially if he was able to dance with her. he’d be nervous of course, but hopefully he’d be able not embarrass himself too much. when she asked if he wanted to go with her or go by himself, he wanted to spend as much time with her as possible, and maybe he would be able to help out a little bit. “yeah, i’ll go with you.” he said with a grin. “i mean i can help out maybe? i’m really good at… carrying things i guess.” he said with a little laugh. honestly he didn’t know how much went into planning this party, but he knew how important it was. they were finally able to celebrate getting married and finally being together officially so he knew that nothing had to be in it’s correct place. “yeah, we can go together and i’ll help out in whatever way i can, i promise.” maybe there wouldn’t be much for him to do, but at least he’d be able to help out in some way or another. as the two of them walked out of the church, the party was waiting for them to join them and scotty was able to introduce himself. it wasn’t until his eyes went wide a little bit when he didn’t know what to introduce himself as. he wasn’t baeleigh’s boyfriend, or at least that was too soon for anything, this was just the first time that they had met so he just said that they were friends, and they seemed to be okay with that. “but yeah, whatever i can do, just let me know.” 

cason can’t help but laugh at her words a bit, “that works, i could use some food… i haven’t eaten since this morning,” he admits. cason ate a lot, but you couldn’t tell because he worked out so much and balanced it all out. “chinese food sounds good right about now, to be honest… you hungry for that?” he asks as he grabs his car keys and puts an arm along her shoulders. 

“hey why do i have to be cocky? can’t i just be confident?” elijah asks, chuckling a bit. okay, he was cocky, but that was besides the point. “who knows? maybe you’ll get the full experience soon enough?” he shrugs half-joking. “i’ll take 8/10 for now,” he says and bites on his lower lip as she heads off to leave. he wanted to talk to her more, but there’d be another time for that. “alright, talk to ya soon,” he grins and pretends to catch her kiss, puts his closed fist on his heart then taps it gently, watching her disappear into a vehicle and driving off. he made his way back to his friends and grabbed another beer. they were all talking but elijah couldn’t help but think of the female he had just met. 

her reaction to his animals made him chuckle, “yeah, they’re me and my cousins… we live together and we just… really love animals and wanted a variety,” he shares easily. “what’s your cat’s name?” he asks, wondering what could be weird about it. he nods and laughs lightly, “i mean, yeah but… still.. so far i’ve liked talking to you,” he admits. “well thank you,” he grins, glad that she finds him attractive. “do you live close by or did your friends drag you out here from another city?”

“it can be,” he proposed with swish of a hand. “knowing how to select, how to pair, and how to distinguish a cheap replica from an original requires skill and experience – i’d say.” with their new plan set, karim walked them towards a busier main street and snuck his phone out for an uber. if he’d had known he wouldn’t end up drinking, he would’ve driven to the event – albeit somewhat reluctantly. still, the alternate option wasn’t awful – especially if he had tia-rae to entertain him by his side. karim arranged for their ride before leading them towards a visible corner. his arm never left hers. “i’m thinking we should go for a theme. like matching outfits. either we pick a pattern to match to, or like – an era – or a social category. like do we go as sexy jocks? do we go as… all-black-heavy-eyeliner-and-chain-goths? tight red numbers? i’m all ears.”

micah nods, “i trust you,” he reassures him with a light smile, “plus, it could be as simple as just sitting on the couch with you having takeout and i’d love it.” It was true too. Micah just enjoyed spending time with Blake. He laughs a bit, “not that intense,” he shakes his head, “just wondering..” he shrugs and blushes a bit. he wanted to know if they dated if blake would be into that stuff because micah would be. “i’ve never had a valentine or anything like that, so i was just curious if you’d be into that when that came around….” he knew it wasn’t close to valentine’s day, but he figured that maybe they’d be a couple by then? that or at least still doing what they were doing now.
