Going from not checking out the D20 fandom everytime I watch a Dimension 20 season and then diving into tumblr, etc. to see some fun stuff and reactions from fans is always such a wild ride because I always seem to find out I enjoy or even love moments a portion of the fandom disliked which is a bummer but I comepletely understand and respect.
For me, I am loved the CCOD finale so much and it even became my fan season along with Starstruck and I truly have not laughed this hard and felt connected or in sync to a group of people like this in a while but what surprised me most is how Ally's clown moment is what made me laugh the most so much that I couldn't breath so finding out that moment and a lot of Ally moments I loved throughout D20 are devisive to fans and still, it's understandble, but I love it and I just tend to see it differenly. The thing is I LOVE and follow not just Dimension20 but also Brennan's other shows storytelling and focus on them but whenever this silly or immersion breaking things happen, it just never seems to bother me despite me still loving story and plot stuff and thse things being important to me. I always just see the game and cast as not just friends playing together but also like humans who do choices that can be unpopular to portions of the masses which reminds me of my friends when we play and how these things like these moments, shifts, outside game banter, etc. happens. And something I do actually disagree with some fans isnhow they assume what the cast feels about a certain cast member during a moment everytime said cast member does something you are not a fan off. Of course, this is subscription show we are paying for so feedback from fans IS valid and important. I guess I just wanted to give my feedback aswell and mine is just I love these moments and how authentic D20 can be even if the cast can make unpopular decisions for a live play though it is indeed alright to share feedback against that to maybe shape it better for more audiences.
