Hello, friends! For anyone who has come across this page and doesn't know me, my name is Ryley, I am nonbinary, and my pronouns are they/them/theirs. I recently received the amazing news that on Friday, December 15, I am having gender affirming top surgery! I am beyond excited, but this also means...
Hey, friends! I know it has been a long time since I have posted on  tumblr. I have been so busy with law school. I am logged on because I need some support from this lovely community and group of humans.
I am approved for gender-affirming top surgery December 15, and I am planning ahead, getting everything in order so that I do not have deal with it during law school and I can just focus on my classes.
Anything is a huge help, and if you are not in a space to contribute any funds, know that sharing this helps!Â
I love you all,

I've needed a tattoo since Pride and Pulse. When the incredibly wonderful poet Andrea Gibson signed one of my chapbooks of theirs at a show on October 18th, they signed with a heart. After a few ideas exchanged between my girlfriend and myself on how to add rainbow colors to this, and talking with a tattoo artist when I went to get something done this morning, this was created. â¤ď¸đđđđđłď¸âđđ
Sext: I want to bury my face into your chest and fill up every space in my lungs with you. I want you to hold me so tight that the sadness seeps out of me and evaporates into the air. I want to know what it feels like to be whole and I want to be whole with you.
I love you so much, @mbart97
Dear cis people, some words:
âmenstrual hygieneâ not âfeminine hygieneâ
âtheyâ not âhe or sheâ âhe/sheâ â(s)heâ etc
âdifferent genderâ not âopposite genderâ
âwhat pronouns do you prefer?â not âso what are you?â
âthis is my friend, they like star warsâ not âthis is my friend, theyâre transgenderâ (seriously why the fuck do you keep doing this why)
âwhat are your pronouns?â is better than âpreferred pronounsâ because âpreferredâ makes it sound like a personâs pronouns are optional, and a personâs pronouns are not optional

your gender is valid even if you canât present how you want or if you donât want to present the way people say you should. looks â gender

Tips That Can Save Your Kidâs Life.
THIS IS IMPORTANTÂ
When I was a child, from the time I was about four and could understand things, my mom told me and my brother that we should have a secret word. That way, if we were ever in trouble or felt unsafe and we didnât want the people around us to know we needed her to come get us, we could let her know. So she let us pick the word and my brother and I chose the phrase âpeanut butter cups.â (Iâm happy to share the phrase now since both my brother and I are adults now).Â
I used the phrase twice in my life. Once, I was at a friends house when I eight years old. Her dad got really drunk and was throwing things against the wall. I was really scared and I didnât want to draw attention to myself on the phone when I called my mom to come get me because I didnât know if he would get more violent if I asked her to come get me. So I called her and was calm and after a couple minutes I asked âHey mommy, did you get me those peanut butter cups from the store?â And she said âIâll be right there.â And she came and got me within minutes.Â
Second, I was a teenager spending the night at a friends house. Her brother and dad were drinking and they started talking about things that made me uncomfortable - ie: what they liked to do to women. My friend didnât seem perturbed and said that was normal for them and that I shouldnât worry. But I was worried because they were really drunk and I was 15 and the only âwomanâ around that wasnât related to them. I went in my friends room, told her I needed to call my mom and say goodnight. Before I hung up with her I asked âNext time we go to the store, can we get some peanut butters cups? Iâve been craving them.â And she came and got me, just like that.Â
Two incidents, one as a young child, one years later as a teen. Donât discredit this stuff, it fucking works. My brother used it a few times too. Let your child pick the word and no never, ever, ever, ever get mad at them for using it no matter what it is.Â
DO NOT SCROLL PAST THAT.
I write only because There is a voice within me That will not be still.
