I love Stargate Atlantis! It’s my favorite show. Do I have SGA fic recs? Oh, boy, do I! But first, it depends on what you’re looking for.  Obviously, my favs contain a lot of captivity whump, but there is also some Sheyla out there, and some McShep, as well as a couple Sparky’s.  Feel free to ask more specifics, but for now I’ll just say my favorite captivity whump SGA fics below the cut. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4299100/1/End-of-the-Line End of the Line by CoolBreeze1. Probably my favorite captivity whump fic.  After barely recovering from an injury, Sheppard is taken captive by some hostiles and tortured.  Prequel to Going Home by Titan5 (below). TW: Torture.

Sheppard was tortured and injured bad enough that he is sent home on forced leave for no less than 7 and no more than 10 days.  He decides to try to visit his estranged father and patch things up.  Written and set before the episode Outcast aired, so liberties were taken with Sheppard’s background.  But the characterization of Sheppard’s father almost makes me wish it was canon.  Shepwump.

Rodney’s sister, Jeannie, decides to take Sheppard out to supper with her daughter Madeline when they are on Earth briefly.  Of course the restaurant gets held up and Sheppard and Madeline are taken hostage.  Shepwhump.

Sheppard finds himself separated from his team in a foreign planet cut off from the stargate.  This story starts out a bit slow and is a bit different.  Shepwhump.

Tiny houses.

Not the concept, the notion, the Platonic ideal of a low-cost low-impact high-efficiency dwelling. That’s great. That’s awesome.

What really imagines my dragons is that in practice about 9 times out of 10 tiny house communities are just a way for rich hipsters to finally fulfil their greatest fantasy:

I was just semi-complaining that I was still looking for a decent way to backup my +4k posts without having to use paid services or even just wordpress (which has an import from tumblr tool that asks for permission to access your blog and also make posts), when I decided to actually put some effort into my google search. 

Results were positive: I have successfully backed up my blog* 

*By which I mean: everything that I have ever posted.  Not included: drafts, queue, likes, followers, following, comments, notes, chat. 

I followed this method (word by word), and now have a 450 MB folder on my computer with the name of my blog on it containing: 

1. Folder “Archive” (contains .html files listed by month) 2. Folder “Media” (contains gifs and images, mine has +1k files in it; might contain also audios but I have no way of confirming that because I’ve never reblogged an audio post from this blog) 3. Folder “Posts” (contains single .html files, each one a post; I have +4k files in it) 4. Folder “Theme” (contains only my avatar, but it might be a matter of if you have personalized themes or not) 5. .html file “Index” (by opening it it will give you the archive of your blog organized by month; clicking on a month will open up the archive for that month, and you’ll be able to read all the posts for that month as if you were on your blog**, except sans your theme graphic, with each page containing 50 posts)

**I can see gifs, links, embedded videos, tags, number of notes (but I can’t open up the notes, clearly), text is also correctly formatted. 

So yeah, in case anyone wants a very quick way to back up their blog, it took me less than 10 minutes. 

I’ve used the above method personally and can affirm it worked fine for me. I would absolutely recommend you do it, too, and sooner rather than later.

1. “The foos are fighting now until 10pm” is dad’s way of telling me “foo fighters are on austin city limits for a full hour”

2. he does not call me pops he calls himself pops and he signed the text

3. he types in shorthand and uses as little punctuation as possible hence the “baked tater”
