Humans who can eat/drink/withstand things that most aliens cannot. Humans who will do anything for the beings they love. Humans who can push through things physically impossible in emergency situations.

Humans who can’t eat a lot of alien cuisine. Humans who have no natural protection. Humans who have surprisingly dull or even missing senses. Humans who need a specific, relatively small temperature range to even function.
