Shit….he had missed her. He spied Katie from across the way, he knew the bow of her dark head and the curved cupids bow of her lips. He knew her eyes were green, even if he couldn’t see them. He knew that when she smiled her cheeks formed deep dimples and he knew that when he has kissed her she had gasped his name so sweetly. He knew….he knew…. God, he loved her. Still did, even after all this time. Jimmy cleared his throat when she had not noticed him, he had met her in the outdoors. Just encase. Tensions were high at the minute. He couldn’t risk enclosed spaces. Yet he had a feeling, if she asked….he would most likely agree.  “Long time…” he said slowly, carefully. those dark eyes strained on her from under furrowed brows. “Heard you were in town Kaitlyn” he used her full name, in an attempt to at least appear as if he had control of his emotions. Even though his heart was jack hammering under his shirt and his palms were sweaty, gripping onto his biceps for an anchor. 

It was obvious that Katie had missed Jimmy, she had made the biggest mistake of her life by cheating on him even if it was while she was drunk, she had just wished she could take it all back so that things wouldn’t be like this now. She wanted so badly to apologize to him, but no matter how hard she tried, he just wouldn’t listen to her, that’s why they were both so perfect for each other, they were both fairly stubborn. “Yeah, long time..” She could feel the tension between the two of them rise, but she kept her distance, not wanting the O’Haras see her with what was known as a common enemy. “How you been?” She asked, pushing a loose piece of hair behind her ear.

Bastien looked up at her, not moving from his position in the chair. “You can set it on the table.” Running his tongue over one of his canines, he took another drag of the cigarette. “Why should I give you a hit? Go buy your own pack, it’s not like they’re expensive.” He shared his cigarettes with family. This girl was definitely not family.

he’s careful as he tiptoes toward the exit, deagle in hand and clutched to his chest, but one squeaky board betrays his weight, and she’s caught him in the act. teddy spins on his heel with a flourish, waving the gun around as if he doesn’t work with the damn things daily. “ heeeeey, katie! i was, uh, hoping i could borrow this. y’know for jobs. ”

bill normally ignored the people around the o’hara chambers not one to strike up unnecessary conversations but considering the barrel pointed right at him he though he’d give her the time of day. without hesitation he maneuvered the gun out of her hand a habit drilled into him in the marines. “you’d be smart to learn the faces of your allies before pointing your gun at anyone who walks by” he inspected the weapon it might’ve come from his shop but there was no knowing with the serial number perfectly worn off. he unloaded the magazine before handing it back to her. “i’m a close friend of the family” he assured.

katie had no idea that the other was apart of their team until she heard what the other had said, she had never seen them at hq, so she was kind of suspicious at first, but she lowered her weapon, for now. “and you’d be smart to not sneak up on a girl like that.” she reassured him. “especially one with a really big weapon.”

Jude walked in to see her with the weapons and rose an eyebrow as she came close, weapon poised. He glanced down at it and smiled “Clam down sweetheart, I’m just here with a message for the boss. Ya seen him?”

Katie felt bad for confusing the other for someone else and lowered her weapon. “He’s in the back.” She reassured the other, or so she thought, she hadn’t heard about the most recent that had happened, resulting in their bosses loss.

Open Starter | Felix

For the life of him Felix couldn’t remember where all he’d been today. He could only go back about an hour ago in his mind, where he recalled a seedy bar, a bathroom, a cute boy and a powdered substance. Where he was now…eh he had a general idea but he was searching for something and that was more important. He turned to bother the nearest person. “Scuse me, have you seen a mobile phone around here? It looks about like…” he pulled his mobile out of his pocket. “About like this, and it has a uh…” Peering closer at the object in his hand he looked up in surprise. “Hold up, here it is! Wow you are good. Thank you! Would you like to get a drink?”

     Time always seemed to move slower on the weekdays. Bastien wasn’t sure why that was - maybe because the cops tended to work harder on the weekdays, maybe it was because it felt more socially acceptable to drink on the weekends. Nevertheless, because of how slow time seemed to move, Bastien found himself going through cigarettes quicker during the week. It was almost like he was waiting for something to happen, waiting for a call, or for gunshots, or for something that was just beyond his reach. Taking a drag from the cigarette, he looked up as someone blocked the sun from hitting his skin. “Yeah?”

( katie mcgrath, thirty-five, cisfemale, she/her ) — whoa, was that KAITLYN ‘KATIE’ BARNES i just saw at CONEY ISLAND? i’ve seen them around town before, they’ve been here for ELEVEN YEARS. from what i’ve heard, they work for the O'HARA’S family. for a CRIMSON, they’ve been known to be ALOOF and BLUNT, but can also be RESOURCEFUL and OUTGOING. i hope they don’t cause too much trouble!
