I love Falcon Claw University, but in a “this series has a lot of potential” way. I feel like this series could have been used to expand upon characters’ upbringings, traits, etc. I know it does that sometimes, especially with like Aaron, but I would have liked to see it with the other characters as well. There are characters that we never see or hear from again and it would have been cool if we had gotten a follow up on that. I know it’s really because FCU (as with the other prequels) was made after mystreet season 1 and during the other seasons. Still, it would have been nice.
Like for example, Luka is a character that’s so interesting because she’s literally Katelyn’s first girlfriend or at least the first one we’re introduced to. I see people always ask where she went and I feel like no one paid attention to what she was saying when she was on screen. She implies multiple times that her relationship with Katelyn is struggling because Katelyn is so closed off and refuses to introduce Luka to her family. She literally says something along the lines of “if this continues then…” and cuts herself off, implying that she’s gonna break up with Katelyn if those issue continues. We know that Katelyn struggles with relationships, as we see with her and Travis. I don’t remember Luka ever being mentioned during Starlight so correct me if I’m wrong but it would have been nice to hear that she thought about her at least once.
FCU would have been cool if it focused more on college aspects like it was kinda doing during Graduation Days. Like what everyone’s majors is, is anyone a part of Greek Life, any extracurriculars, any parties or nightlife, ya know stuff like that. Think like those old MTV cartoons like Downtown, Daria, and especially Undergrads (I love that show); or other shows like 6teen. I would have loved to see the characters go on weird adventures rather than it being focused mainly on Aaron’s life. Like I’m not saying it wasn’t necessary but like Xavier could have easily been brought back like idk maybe working with Ein or something. I always found Xavier being on those forums to be interesting and could have gone somewhere.
I have like a whole other version of FCU in my head that’s like focused on Mac, Garroth, and Ken cuz to me, they could have been a little friend group. And the bigger friend group would include Katelyn, Luka, Diana, Aphmau, and Aaron.
Rambling now but like what does everyone think everyone’s major would be? I don’t remember them mentioning it in FCU, I know Aaron was like something involving STEM(?) and I think Aphmau was either creative writing or undecided. I think Katelyn would be a Theater major, Luka feels like maybe fashion merchandise or marketing, Garroth is definitely business/finance (I like to think he would do history for the fun of it). Mac feels like STEM too, specifically engineering, but I like to think he decided to do Art as well since he is canonically an artist. Ken gives cybersecurity since he’s so paranoid about the government.
Ok last point, I’ve seen like a lot of like Fraternity AUs not just for this fandom but for others as well, and I have to admit that to me, Garroth wouldn’t be in a frat, even though he most likely would be in one. I just don’t like Greek life and frat guys in general. Besides my dislike though, my version of Garroth tries to stay out of the limelight as much as possible. For example, going to PDH instead of Okhasis Prep. With him already being a legacy student at FCU, I think he would try to avoid too much attention (again just my own headcanon version, realistically he honestly would be in one).
I wanna draw art and designs for FCU later cuz I genuinely have a lot of ideas like Mac’s first impression of Garroth, the group playing DND, etc. I think it would be fun.
