FIXED: 'GSHADE TUTORIAL' CONSISTENTLY APPEARING IN EVERY GAME LAUNCH - TS4

Gshade tutorial should only appear once for the first time you use it. If you are like me using Gshade and experiencing this issue, here is my guide on how to fix it. I personally discovered this fixed, doing a trial and error. 😭

Note: This only applies to DX9 since this issue is not present in DX11

✨WHAT TO DO?

1. Locate your gshade installation path,

typically, in C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin

2. From this path, you shall see two files named,

Gshade.ini and Gshade2.ini

~Gshade2.ini is where our every gshade preset configuration saved. This is somehow conflicts with Gshade.ini that causing the gshade tutorial keeps showing up in every game launch.

3. Swap the name of this two .ini files,

Rename Gshade.ini to Gshade2.ini & vice versa

Make sure your game is close.

4. Launch your game

Upon entering the main menu, open the Gshade UI. You will notice the tutorial did not show up and everything is in default. Don't do anything. Exit your game.

5. Swap back the name of these two .ini files like you did in #3

6. Launch your game until you load in main menu. Open gshade UI. Voila! FIXED! Your configuration loads up without the tutorial appearing!
