In a world full of darkness, be light.

Tomorrow marks 2 months of 0 alcohol. Happy, proud and still growing.  

January 22 I began my journey to complete sobriety. It’s been one month + 12 days & it has been successful thus far. I’ve struggled on & off mentally since January. I’ve been fighting things such as my worth, why do all have my friends have boyfriends/fiances/husbands & I can’t seem to find someone. I’ve spent a lot of time in prayer & have reached out for prayer as well. I know now why I’m not with someone just yet. God is waiting. He wants me to find myself. He wants me to stop looking at those around me & keep my eyes on Him. I want a spouse that I can lean on when I’m down, one that I can go to church with & worship with, someone who will lead a group or just volunteer with me at church, someone who is also God centered & God focused. God’s timing is perfect. I still fight the occasional loneliness feeling, but then I remember that He’s in control. My singleness is a celebration, just as a wedding is. I’m working on remembering that more & more.
