It will never cease to amaze me how reluctant we've become to embrace the full spectrum of diversity society has to offer. Like I'm sure people will read the word diversity and think "oh but I love diversity, I love different races, I love different sexualities" but then they don't translate that positivity towards diversity, for example, to the very essential reality that is how different people will prioritize different things in life. Like yes some people center romance because they like romance. Some people center their lives around professional success because that's how they measure their worth. Some people center the pursuit of creativity without a care for financial stability. Some people center wealth. Some people center politics. Some people center fame. Some people center what's best for their health (chronic illness gang wya). Some people center family and others center friends. The fact that everyone is so desperate to assign morality to these things bores me. The whole point of diversity is about an appreciation or at the very least tolerance for all these different lifestyles. But we don't even tolerate each other anymore. Hence the infighting.
