People often ask me why I like BTS so much, because they know I don’t usually listen to boy groups. Lemme tell you a little story. Last year I’ve been going through a very difficult period of my life. I was diagnosed with tachycardia, an eating disorder and depression. I started distancing myself from the people amd the things I loved and I soon became like an empty carcass. My life became meaningless, my only friends being my psychologist and my cardiologist. However, one day when I was in the waiting lobby of a hospital, a random girl that was sitting next to me asked me if I’ve ever heard of BTS. Of course, I said no. She then told me that I should really give them a try, that they’re a popular new k-pop group with a really hip-hopish feel blah blah blah. At first I was very unsure about listening to them (back then I was an avid j-rock listener - I still am - and I had a slight aversion for k-pop. Anyway, later, as I was sitting in my hospital room, I thought ‘What the hell, let’s give them a try’ If I remember correctly, the first song I’ve listened to was 'Danger’. I wasn’t very impressed so I thought about digging a bit more into their discography, and then I came across 'Tomorrow’. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I sat alone in my room, in the dark, crying while listening to it. The lyrics were so inspirational, it hit the nail right in the head (the nail being my heart and the hammer being their song). The point of this whole mini rant is in that exact month I was considering seriously commuting suicide, but 'Tomorrow’ made me reconsider everything. Ever since then, I can’t help but feel that BTS saved my life and I owe them a lot. I want to thank these precious 7 boys for everything (especially Yoongi for producing 'Tomorrow’, the track that has been my favorite ever since) and I really hope that they will have a happy life :) Please ARMYs, love and respect them. They deserve it.
