A little animation exercise with my fantasy characters ✨

What if Trevor layed at the bed and Bennett climb on his hed start to petting and scratching affectionately Trevors hair and head?

How it be his reaction?

Could go hand in hand with the other pic I did of them talking about the potion, but just wanted to get some cuteness in with him giving Wanda a big giant-sized hug. I think they are at least a bit closer in this AU bc she wasn't entirely isolated with being sent away like in the show, but she still is kind of edgy and not super big on physical affection (only sometimes), and I don't think Pietro is out giving hugs often either bc of his size (and just not many he's willing to hug tbh), but this is one of those times. He's just happy he'll have a chance to see Bobby again!

I was thinking if Bobby was actually there to help Pietro wash off bc he's never done it before and it'd be a lot more personal and cute, but it does kind of take a turn... The red mark is actually from where Scott harpooned him when he saw him and Bobby together, perceiving Pietro as a threat and acting first. He had to swim away when Bobby told him not to hurt Scott and talk him down, but he was hurt and was snitched on by Lance (who was jealous of Pietro hanging out with a human), and Magneto found out about Pietro keeping human paraphernalia in his grotto from his hang outs with Bobby and that he'd been hanging out with a human at all. The bruises are from when Magneto broke his stuff and thrashed Pietro around a bit while doing so as he tried to stop him and then imprisoned him in there amongst all his broken things. Magneto also pulled out the harpoon himself none too gently and tossed it at him as a reminder of what humans will and have done to him.

It was a while before Pietro was able to get out and turn human and see Bobby again since the incident and he would just be so happy to see him again. Bobby gets caught up in making sure he knows how being a human works and didn't realize at first that the bruises weren't just dirt...

In the meantime, Pietro thought he could get away with being a little minx lol This would technically be the first time they get to kiss while at the same size (but not the first kiss) and that would be a very different experience. Pietro still handling him like he's very fragile bc he's used to being so much bigger, but still also taking initiative bc it's easier to do that now without being too overwhelming.

In Scott's defense... he hasn't had the best encounters with merpeople and instead of a plane crash it was a shipwreck, tho it was caused by Magneto, not Pietro. He wasn't giant when he was younger, but Scott doesn't know that. If he had waited a couple seconds more he would have seen them kiss, but he wasn't going to give those extra seconds to see if the sea monster was going to bite Bobby's head off or not as it plays with its prey. Scott also had a moment of seeing Pietro in the depths when their ship sank from the storm and he wasn't sure if he was seeing things or not bc he figured it even more unlikely that Bobby had survived that when that was lurking in the area...

Pietro's lucky he didn't get him in the eye or a more vital area tbh... A harpoon is going to be hard to get out as well. He gets interrupted in an intimate moment and then it looks like his lover is getting abducted? This will go swimmingly for Scott... Bobby will have to diffuse and tell Pietro to leave. Scott calling him a monster and Bobby having to fight his case and admit that who he just harpooned was his boyfriend, short-circuiting Scott. (He might not mention how they had literally had sex shortly before this... Lucky he didn't walk in on that)

I'm still wondering if I'll draw the rest of this interaction. I might try to but don't want to promise anything. It would be after this interruption that Pietro ends up getting caught by his dad tho with the proof of his human mingling still in his shoulder, and it will be a while before Bobby even sees him again. Bobby not even sure if he's still alive after the injury and really upset with Scott. I don't think he would have forgiven him if he had killed him. He wouldn't have known for sure until he showed up on the shore one day human. And then they finally get to talk when Bobby is helping him bathe, or at least.. converse. Pietro can't talk then.

Monster Movie Mayhem

An adventure suggested by nobody other than the purple rabbit himself. Basically a combination of the King Kong and Godzilla movies but a little more wacky. Yes, he does breathe fire as well. Everything is in black and white except for a few things, similar to the bar scene in episode 5. I colored Jax just to get an idea of what his color palette may look like.

The other page I had done of their first proper meeting in the mer AU! I was wondering if I wanted to commit to doing all the shading and lighting on this comic since I did the first page that way, but it would be kind of relevant to the excerpt, so... I guess I'm buckling down for several pages of this! 😅 It may take me a bit to get through tho.

I think initially Bobby has a lot of language that kind of reveres Pietro as more of a deity than an person, and it would make Pietro visibly uncomfortable. While he loves praise and would eat it up at first, he'd start to wonder if Bobby is even seeing him as a person when he's trying to flirt with him and see him as an equal, while to Bobby, Pietro at first is something so incomprehensible and amazing to him that he doesn't think he could think of him that way (tho he is also crushing hard) And tbh, he's not too far off thinking Pietro is like a god when his daddy is basically Poseidon (tho he doesn't know that yet). Pietro just wouldn't want to view himself that way and wishes to connect with others, which is already difficult for him with the giant thing.

They'll get to talk it out tho, don't worry.

A little different than their first kiss in the original AU but, still a bit similar too. It's a bit harder when the size difference is more drastic, but that certainly doesn't stop Bobby. He heard "I would like that" and that was all he needed to hear before going for it lol

It did occur to me tho that they really wouldn't be sure if kissing meant the same thing unless they had talked about it, and I think Bobby would be the one who was bold enough to just straight up ask. I think Pietro in this would have grown to be a bit more self-conscious about his size bc it's been permanent and not size shifting like in the original AU and he'd been dealing with it longer technically. He'd been accustomed to people not liking to be very intimate with him. In this he also was more open about being gay in the first place and I think he had a partner before he started growing gradually and think they would have broken up with him bc they couldn't see them dealing with that in long-term and think that would kind of fuck up Pietro's self-esteem and perspective of himself as a teen. So having someone who just... doesn't care is... Nice.

I like the thought of them sharing things from their cultures with each other and stuff that they like, but sometimes that gets a bit harder in the food department... Apparently raw giant squid tastes like a mouthful of bleach and black licorice bc of all the ammonia lol rip to Bobby. He didn't want to disappoint his big, beautiful, chesty merman bf tho. But I think next time he'd try preparing more of what he might bring so he CAN try and eat it haha

I'd like to think at some point, Bobby gets to share some cooked and seasoned food with Pietro tho and he'd be like the cat with the watermelon (warning for eating sounds):

Bobby probably brings a full roasted chicken and tells him to watch for the bones and proceeds to watch him crunch it and can't help but gulp a bit at his bone crushing teeth and what he could do with those if he wanted. Maybe a bit scaroused. Sadly even those bigger things aren't much to keep him fed, but he could still at least get a taste. He'd want to try all sorts of things when he gets to be human.

Anyway, I love them in every universe lol

Bobby and Pietro having some fun that took a bit of an unfortunate turn. Pietro reminded how careful he has to be with his tiny friends that thankfully didn't turn out worse. He got caught up in the moment wanting to show off just how fast he can go (he may not have super speed in this, but he's still one of the fastest, even despite his size), but that is apparently a bit too much haha... Poor Bobby got skipped like a pebble and then ate shit. He's lucky he didn't get seriously hurt or drown, but he did probably star to drown after taking such a tumble and then being stranded in the ocean.

He really is putting a lot of trust in Pietro tho, being his only lifeline out in the open ocean going swimming, and even falling asleep in front of him is a sign of trust. Where Pietro just sees his mistakes (dropping him), Bobby just sees that Pietro just saved him yet again! He's already saved him multiple times in his eyes, and he basically trusts him with his life. Pietro is used to everyone else mistrusting him due to his size and not being careful enough that having that trust in him for a change would mean... a lot. And he doesn't want to lose it.

I am NOT much of an animator and this is technically the 3rd one I've attempted involving X-Men recently, but before that I honestly hadn't seriously tried to animate in over 10 years or something! Either way, this fixation has gotten me to try a lot of things I haven't normally tried and it's kind of nice~

I feel like I'll just keep nitpicking this and never end up posting, so I'll just post what I had and leave it at that. I got the main parts down and I guess that's what matters. I was worried the laugh wouldn't come across very well, but I might have gotten that at least and I'm happy about that!

Anyway, Happy 1st day of Pride everyone! I'll likely be posting gay shit all month and then some of these 2 lol

I got a bit carried away with the AU of an AU and have just wanted to do more of it lol I figured it might go a bit differently when the merperson is uhhhh huge. It might not have been as enchanting as Ariel singing and it would take Bobby a moment to realize the person he's interacting with is humongous, but once he does, there would be a primal fear waking him up pretty much immediately like if someone gave him smelling salts lol The reaction would hurt Pietro bc it's coming from him, even tho he should probably expect it from any human, but once Bobby actually could see what he was looking at he'd be like "Wow..." So I guess right away he'd be aware that his rescuer was very much not human and only Bobby would see a giant sea beast man and go "Would." lol Pietro saw someone from really far away coming and didn't want to be spotted so he bailed. At his height he'd see pretty far so uhh... Hopefully it was someone coming to help him lol

Also someone mentioned after that they thought there was going to be a huge splash when he leaves and I had to add a bonus pic of that too haha

Anyway, I'm having fun with it lol

So I thought "I wanna do something for Mermay with the lads" and then I kind of went off the shits with a potential Little Mermaid AU based on the Disney version mostly (loosely). I didn't want to put too much thought into all this, but I've drawn quite a bit already and will probably do more lol Tho it's just for fun! I do enjoy an AU of an AU tho haha

Anyway, I was really tempted to have Bobby as Ariel bc I could see either roles for them really easily, but getting to draw a giant merman is what won me over more bc I'd be more likely to draw it lol Now we have The Big Merman. (I also listened to the "Jig" track a bunch when drawing it lol...) They're not pictured here, but I figured the Brotherhood would be his "friend" group that likes to pull pranks on sailors and other cruel things, but Pietro suddenly has second thoughts seeing the cute prince. Liking boys in this is fine, but god forbid that boy is a HUMAN! Also Pietro is the outlier as a giant here, the others are normal sized. He probably has a reputation as some kind of sea beast in this.
