a/n: GUYS IM SEEING BTS HOLY SHITINVNEVJN
"slow down, doll." katsuki huffed as he let you pull him through the venue, the corners of his mouth tilting up despite the gruffness in his voice. "nothing selling out this soon."
"you don't know that…" he heard you mumble, your pace not slowing as you beelined it for the merchandise table.
he huffed in amusment as you continued, finding your determination for such a task endearing. you had both just arrived at the concert venue, and you had made it your mission to see the merch before the show started in case you wanted to buy anything.

katsuki surprised you with concert tickets to your favorite band a month ago. he had been planning this for a while; the moment he heard (from you, of course) that they were going on tour for the first time in years, he had already began thnking up the whole thing in his head. he didn't know the band very well aside from the songs he'd heard from your playlist, but he knew you—being able to see them live just once would be enough for you, and he was damn well sure gonna make it happen.
when you first brought up the tour and he asked if you were going to get tickets, he wasn't expecting your deflated answer.
"i don't know…they're a big group. they're probably going to sell out before i even get into the online queue." he saw your attempts at hiding your dissappoint on your face, but he heard it in your voice as you continued looking down at your phone, scrolling through the dates.
he didn't say anything for a minute, thinking. then, getting up and walking toward you, he gently took your phone out of your hands and threw it on the bed. you had started biting your lip, your mind already spinning in doubt, and he hated it. he wrapped his arms around you, silencing your soft sounds of surprise.
"don't worry about it. we'll go," he mumbled, trying to ease some of your anxiety. he rocked your bodies back and forth together and felt you melt into his warmth.
"how?" your voice was mumbled against the fabric of his shirt, and he let out a dry laugh. he looked down as he felt of your head move and met your eyes.
he smiled ever so slightly; one anyone else, he found pouting to be very annoying. it's always been a cute look on you, though.
"didn't i just say not to worry about it?"
when the tickets went on presale a few weeks later, he stayed up late to make sure he got the best ones he could. sitting in the living room, the singlular light from his phone creating a beacon in the darkness, katsuki hunched over on the couch with intense focus.
as the screen flashed with a confirmation of the two purchased seats, he felt his heart rate relax just a fraction.
thank fuck, he thought as he sat back on the couch, letting out a breath in the dark. he had tried his hardest to relax all day, not wanting to alert you to anything strange happening. you had long given up the idea of being able to get tickets, but you knew presale was happening today and he could tell it was on your mind.
he also knew that if he didn't get these tickets, he'd be extremely upset with himself. hence the relief that washed over him as he double checked his email, making sure the tickets were recieved. hating the feeling of anxiety the whole ordeal gave him, he shook his hands as he stood up, deciding it was finally time to go to bed. he yawned as he shuffled down the hall, creeping into your shared bedroom.
you were still sleeping, thankfully. as he slid back into the familiar spot next to you, he felt the wave of sleep he'd been holding back wash over him and pull him down with you. as he drifted off, your shared conversation from before played in his mind.
told you not to worry about it.

almost 8 months later, the night was finally here. you'd been practically dancing on your heels all week, showing him different variations of the outfit you picked out in attempts to settle on one; he was no help in deciding, of course—he said they all looked good on you, and he meant it. in the end, he sat patiently as he watched you try them all on, smiling faintly.
he couldn't help it. he wasn't known to be a patient man—he surely wasn't when you two first met—but you had that effect on him. he didn't mind it as much as he thought he would.
when you were finally ready, he drove you both to the venue extra early. he sat silently as you played as much of the band's discography as the length of the car ride would allow, content in listening to you talk about which songs you couldn't wait to hear the group perform.
now, as you stood in front of the merch stand, he stood beside you like a bodyguard, staying aware of both the surroundings and you.
"see anything you like?" he asked, bending a bit to be heard over the growing crowd. he watched your eyes flit over everything, lingering on a hoodie in the upper right corner.
he had already told you not to worry about paying for anything tonight, and though it took much convincing, you had agreed. now, he took his wallet out from his back pocket and pulled out his card as you pointed to the garment.
"i like that one. the black hoodie," he nodded at the cashier as she looked at you both, confirming your purchase.
as you both exited the line, he felt his heart stutter at the sight of you clutching the hoodie close to you, a smile on your face. he feigned nonchalance, clearing his throat as he took your free hand.
"want anything to eat before we go in?"
"no, i'm okay." he watched your smile grow, and couldn't stop the blush creeping up his neck and face as you squeezed his hand. "thank you, suki. this really means a lot to me. all of this."
his face was completely red as he broke eye contact, letting go of your hand to loop his arm around your waist. he heard you laugh as he pulled you closer to his side, and the sound only made the blush worse.
"yeah, yeah…love you," he mumbled, using his other hand to scratch behind his neck awkwardly. then, he cleared his throat. "come on. we gotta find our seats."
you laughed again as you both walked toward the entrance to your section, and he let the ghost of a smile grace his features. "why're you laughing?"
you giggled, feigning innocence. "nothing, nothing! i love you!"
yeah, he'd do this all again in a heartbeat.
