the whole point of oliver and raine is that one has had a crush on the other for years and they both know. oliver is aroace and doesnt have feelings for raine and could never even if they wanted to. raine cant let these feelings go. they both know how the other feels yet they both hold onto hope that it isnt true. that somehow, it will fall into their favors. but it never happens. they never communicate, it would break their relationship. theyve been friends since elementary school and are each others everything. theyre afraid to confront the feelings of the other. and so, in the end, it goes unresolved, and the last survivor has to live with it.
