Meet Kleebo! I’m going to need a Jedi to play for a ttrpg I’m working on with some friends, and I’ve wanted to come up with a Rodian oc forEVER.

He was born somewhere around ~80 BBY. I’m still working on his whole deal, but his two closest friends and clan mates were older than him and both ended up reassigned to two different branches of the Service Corps. He stated in contact with them and was relieved that they both seemed happy and fulfilled. While he dreamed of being a padawan and traveling the galaxy, he was never a top student and didn’t expect to pass his initiate trials.

By the will of the Force (a literal miracle), Bo had a year of academic and athletic improvement and ended up passing his initiate trials, much to the surprise and delight of his instructors. He was chosen as a padawan, but his first mission was a disaster. His new master was badly injured, and, embarrassed and frustrated by how poorly Bo handled the stress, terminated the apprenticeship. I haven’t worked out the details of what actually happened, but another Jedi who was in the same sector came to their aid and transported them back to Coruscant. That Jedi was Thame Cerulian, and he ended up taking Bo on as his apprentice.

THE LISTS ARE RIDICULOUSLY LONG AND DISREGARDING THE HILARITY OF THE CLINICAL WAY THEY DESCRIBE HIM, THE LISTS ARE THE BEST PART OF THIS

Enemies: 

*very long list of people including each and every one of the kids he kidnapped in that one episode with Ahsoka, R2-D2, and the triumvirate (Obi Ani and Soka)* but Obi, Ani and Soka are all listed as “formerly”. FORMERLY enemies. Which implies he’s friends with them all now. So you go over to the friends list and-

*really long list including people like Kanan, Ezra: Aurra Sing, Jango Fett, fuckin’ PLO KOON*

And then you get to the triumvirate. 

Top on the list is Obi. Then Ahsoka. And then 

“Anakin Skywalker. (Formerly)”

And it cant be because Anakin is dead, because there are plenty of other dead characters on here that don’t say formerly. Also formerly is Cody. Which implies it was like—

Obi: *on mustafar* can I perhaps beg a ride of you?

Hondo: *drunk comming* a ride? Hell, I owe ya a whole ship at this point. Why d’ya need a ride, Jedi?

Obi: the clones have commited treason and my former apprentice has tried to kill me

Hondo:

Obi: also I have a youngling I’ll need rations for.

Hondo:

Hondo: *turns to first mate* you. You right there.

First mate: ?

Hondo: blacklist Skywalker. And all th’ clones. Particularly Kenobi’s commander.

Obi: 

First mate: affirmative

Hondo: okay we’re on our way. Ya better not be dead when I get there, I don’t like owin’ debts t’ dead people

But when the unflappable character sees someone they care about in danger, and the mask DOESN'T slip.

Because they understand they need to be calm and unflappable now more than ever; if it protects them, it will certainly protect the person they care about. So their voice doesn't waver, their hands don't shake. They don't panic. From the outside looking in, they're as calm as could be. They handle it.

But after it's over-when the person they care about is safe, and the unflappable character is alone-they completely shatter. Gasping breaths, sobs, barely holding it together because someone they love almost DIED, and it was far, far too close for comfort.
