I really don’t want everything in the comic to be spelled out by the characters. No voice-over explaining things, and no inner monologues either. I want to be able to convey meaning through poses, gestures, facial expressions, and pauses too. I’ve set myself quite a challenge 🙂 But I think it’ll be more interesting for you to figure out the characters’ motivations and what’s going on in their heads on your own 😏

And yes, there will be a lot of action in the story. Violence, blood, smashed skulls, sex, drama, yada yada. Veeeery sensitive content😬. So be ready. If anyone complains later — I warned you ☝️😌

I know this is already the third woman Mix gets involved with in the comic. This girl was supposed to stay off-screen at first, but then I sat down to write the script and thought… how much do I want to expand this story? And the answer was: yes, just yes... Luckily, she shows up in the very first chapter, so everything will make sense pretty quickly :)

The main characters of Club: Mix and Mal. I redrew a small interaction between them from the manga in my current style — a little tribute to these girls, who are very dear to my heart, and to the thousands of readers around the world who supported me and gave me the fuel to keep drawing no matter what :)

Let it be promo art! I won’t be drawing the comic like this — otherwise I’d be working on it for a hundred years 😅 I mean, the drawing itself will be the same, but in black and white, without this many halftones.

...the more I experiment with style, the more intimidating realism feels. One mistake — and the whole drawing falls apart. It’s a real question whether to keep going like this or just spare myself...
