When you realize the Happy Feet movie was not just about the dangers of pollution to the environment, but also about a penguin on the autism spectrum (or showing signs of it). It’s really accurate! The dad who shows signs he is "weird" too, and the guilt of wondering whether he’s the one who made his son an unfit. Mumble being unable to express himself because he doesn’t inately understand how to sing (but he’s an excellent dancer). How he’s "embarassing" the girl he likes. All the time he remains alone, in fact seeks that loneliness (and seems to know what if feels to be bullied), only that comes with its dangers too. When he tries to comfort another misfit, but still nearly gets killed by them. Being a late bloomer (he still has his adolescent fluff when everybody looks like an adult, he was born quite late). Being accepted by an exterior group who doesn’t hold the same standards as Mumble’s community of origin. Being determined to give "this stupid fish" to the girl he likes, even though it nearly cost his life. The insane bravery, the disregard for potentially dying, that made him take a leap of faith to pursue a giant, scary boat from "the aliens". Being regarded as stupid or mental when he tells the truth, just because it’s him saying it. (Ending up a hero.)
