Long overdue, but here is a #lookbook of a few of Maple's new outfits as a newly young adult heading off to college.

a Main goal for the #autumncorechallenge: adopt a cat ✓

And sure enough, on the way to the bathroom, Maple spots a little black shadow behind the bushes. So, the cat distribution system DOES exist!

One of Maple's new favourite spots to hang out recently- the apple orchard in Brindleton Bay.

Not only do the stalls here sell great coffee, but she saw so many stray animals the last time she visited, so she wanted to come see if the cat distribution system really did exist.

Now that the girls are aged up, waiting for graduation and university applications to come through, they have some time on their hands to hang out and relax.

Even though it was a small gathering, it was special.

And so, the last day of school had arrived. Nothing too eventful- last lunch yummy but a bit cold, last exam went well and the last sneaky kiss in the snow was beautiful but not too dramatic. What a wild ride high school was.

Maple has just finished her very first book. She still has a lot to learn, but this is a start, one she is very proud of.

And that's a wrap on prom!

A week later, and the night everyone has been waiting for all year, has arrived. Prom night is finally here!

As Alden pulls Maple back, something she did not expect, happens.

And in that singular moment, when their lips first met, time stood still, and the world faded away.

Much later that evening, Alden shows up at Oak's residence.

Like most teenage boys, he is confused as to why Maple is upset and won't listen to his excuse.

(the first snow has fallen, so even though it isn't technically autumn anymore, the name of the challenge still remains the same.)

Maple is as dramatic as any teenage girl, but something about this whole situation is still heartbreaking.

Harvestfest has come and gone, and it's been a few days since Alden has contacted Maple. Is he busy with his family during the holidays, or is he ignoring Maple? Either way, her little fragile heart is going through it.

Harvestfest this year was bitter-sweet, while some loved ones may not be here anymore, new ones fill that void. The Oaks enjoyed a warm and delightful evening at the Dawson's and so new traditions begin.

This was also a perfect opportunity to introduce Alden to her dad, who, mind you, has not asked Maple out yet despite being "something" for the more than a month, but Maple is patient because well, she is deeply in love with his boy.

(this is somewhat of a red flag but hey, young love is blind, they say).

a Main goal for the #autumncorechallenge: harvest apples ✓

As Harvestfest is coming up, Maple wanted to do something special.

Since this is the first year celebrating the holiday without her mom, she wanted to do something that would honour her mom's tradition of baking a Harvestfest dessert with freshly harvested fruit, and so the family went apple picking.

Maple wants to become a bestselling author, and so of course, she spends most of her free time reading and losing herself in fairytales and mysteries.
