Last night, Sunday, October 1st, 2017, a horrible man attacked my city. He shot, killed and injured many people at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. I was there all weekend and literally there just an hour before the tragedy struct. I have no words on how to describe seeing and hearing the news. I am not even going to mention his name because he doesn’t deserve the attention and he obviously doesn’t understand the pain he has caused to many people. 

My heart is broken. I could not sleep and yet I am exhausted. My guardian angel was definitely watching over me yesterday. And I am truly grateful that I was able to come home to my family but I know there are many people who don’t get to do that. That truly breaks my heart. To feel the love from everyone and to those who have reached out to check up on me is humbling. Thank you.

We were at Route 91 Harvest Festival to enjoy each others company and listen to amazing artists and music. We were all strangers yet we were able to join together in one place and have fun. No hate. No racism. Just love. We were there for the same reason, we love country music. People are hurting. My city, my home is hurting. The world, the country is hurting. But today definitely showed how much my community is stronger than what most people think and we will conquer everything together.
