In this video, I explain how to play one of my favorite games for the classroom. This game is applicable to every content area and every grade. It’s infinitely flexible, engages all students at all times, and takes very little time to plan. Check it out and see if it’s a fit for your classroom!

–We call it surrender en seis / surrender on six –Take any boring worksheet, do it with this game, BOOM fun activity. –I have a magical (colored) pen that gets used by the group to avoid sneaky pencils or other cheatery devices. –I’ve also just had the next person in the circle roll until they get a six, then the die gets handed down and the pen goes to the roller.  It has more of a direct path this way and everyone definitely gets it at some point, guaranteed.

ONE TINY UPDATE ON THIS BEAUTIFUL COMIC THOUGH: The rules have changed this year so that you don’t have to number EVERY SINGLE BOX below the line, you just have to number 12 or more. this is so that weird random parties like The Australians Against Partying Party don’t get seats in the senate when people only vote for them for the lols (I think?idk i need confirmation on that, maybe i made it up. I definitely made up the name of that party anyway). this is GREAT NEWS for mE because I won’t look like the idiot young person in the polling booth taking forever, like last time.
