Star Wars Episode: VII → Rey encounters Obi-Wan as her force ghost where they quickly become the best of friends. There is something so familiar about Obi-Wan but Rey speaks nothing of it. Little does Rey know, the infamous Kenobi versus Skywalker battle will manifest again but through her. Why? Well Rey is ready to hop on the Millennium Falcon with a little help from her friends to find out for herself. Rey is determined to search every corner of the Galaxy for answers that she doesn’t even know the questions to. With Obi-Wan’s training, Rey feels closer than ever to the force as she feels the force nudging the corners of her mind to understand her birthright and her place in the Star Wars saga. Despite the hardships along the way, Rey will have her friends and maybe even family to navigate these struggles together. For a girl who considered herself to be a “no one”, Rey understands that she’s someone with a very important destiny to fulfill.

“To be honest, I almost lost myself the role because the director called me up and said ‘I’d love you to audition’ and I got really excited but he made the mistake of giving me his e-mail address? I just kept e-mailing him auditions and he didn’t reply back after the first two so instead of just chilling out on it I sent him another 2 the next day. And the next day I sent him another 3. I sent him I think 12 or 14 takes over the next 3 days. There were different accents, different costumes, varying states of undress. He e-mailed me after a few days and said ‘listen thank you so much for these auditions. Please stop sending me these auditions.’”
