Itâs literally so annoying hear 15 year olds and younger complain about being virgins and havenât been kissed. It shows how sexualized society is and how much pressure young teens get for not doing these things. And itâs just so funny to me because you know the people who are mostly forcing them? Grown people. Grown people show it and advertise it in teen shows with actors who are 37 and have these baby teens feeling inadequate about themselves because they arenât doing what âteenagers should be doingâ. And saying things like âyou havenât dated yet?â, âyou havenât kiss yet?â, âyou havenât had sex yet?â to 15 year olds! And I have to say thatâs not normal, itâs not normal for a 13-15 year old teenager to feel sad about not having sex. Itâs just uncomfortable in my opinion. And I know I have really young followers too, so Iâm just gonna tell you, you are not NOT normal for not having sex, not dating, not being kissed, not doing anything intimate at all. You are still so young, donât feel the pressure from society. Just focus on you and forget about anyone else. And that is hard, but think of it as a âat least it wasnât meâ thing when you see the worse situations happen possible when you see people in relationships. Itâs okay.
Iâve never known a single person regret not losing their virginity before 16, and PLENTY who regret losing it. Make sure your decisions are because you actually want to do it, and donât just feel like thatâs what youâre supposed to do.
Anyone who is telling you or implying that youâre supposed to be having sex, that you owe someone sex, that relationships have to include sex are either seriously misguided or straight-up lying.

So I wanted to create a persona for my online alias Karmic Illusion as I was binge watching some Planet Dolan videos. The key style was inspired by the PD art style as well as other sources such as LoZ ( Navi Wings anyone?) , SU and modern bohemian fashion. The result comes in the form of a blue, firefly fairy! Iâd like to do video art streams in the future, but I donât have the right equipment right now. I need to redo my tumblr theme soon....
Some fun fluff with drawing young Widow and Tracer, by young I mean tweens!

There is a new Disney princess coming soon, and she's Polynesian (POC). I know you can dress as whoever you want, but some Polynesians don't want other people dressing as her (especially white people) since it's cultural appropriation. Would you agree with that? The movie is all about her culture, but she's a Disney Princess, and she's a role model for everyone, not just a huge Polynesian representation.
I mean are we going to tell THEM they canât dress up as Aurora or Rapunzel or Elsa or whatever? Itâs stupid. Dress up as whoever you want.
But Iâd advise against painting your skin to look like her, since most people will probably not do it very well and it will look racist.
Do you want to know why there are some Polynesians who donât want other people dressing as Moana or Maui? Because they are STEEPED in actual cultural influences from actual Polynesian (and in a manner of speaking, Micronesian and Melanesian) culture and history.
To dress up without understanding what she represents for Pacific Islanders, without understanding the history of Pacific Islanders, without understanding a culture or cultures within the Pacific, and without understanding symbolic motifs and is DISRESPECTFUL. Do you know why itâs more disrespectful than the âaverage Joeâ? Because PASIFIKA is also STEEPED with and in western colonization, imperialism, and COMMODIFICATION. This is not a NEW topic. This issue goes way back and in a manner of speaking is quite talked about academically by Pasifika and non Pasifika academics.
So.. itâs not stupid but I can see why someone like the OP who is ignorant of Pasifika issues would find it stupid because a) they donât relate and b) they know like 0.00000000000000001% about the Pacific.
This just in. Little kids cosplaying as their favorite characters of different races is now against the rules.
Someoneâs culture is not something you cosplay.
No, but characters are, and you can cosplay whoever you want.
Problem is, the characters are wearing cultural garb. So, the issue isnât quite as simple as people think.
Yeah, but youâre not cosplaying the culture, youâre cosplaying the character.
and anybody can cosplay anything they want.
Itâs not that simple. You canât separate a character from the culture they are representing. You have to be careful when you approach these kinds of things. Maui is a real demigod, Moanaâs father is image of a real chief, Moana is wearing traditional Pasifika garb. There are cultural boundaries that need to be acknowledged and respected.
âCultural boundariesâ???? Â
Since when do cultures have boundaries?
Cultures do not have boundaries, they never have, and anyone who says they are is perpetuating a racist segregationist ideology that basically says âIf you are from one race, you are simply not allowed to celebrate any of the people or achievements of another race.â
also
ANYONE CAN COSPLAY ANYBODY THEY WANT.
Especially if theyâre little kids.
For fucks sake.
The best part about this post is that @science-fiction-is-real basically did all my work for me. But I still have things to say anyway.
Again, Disney movies like Frozen, Tangled, and the Little Mermaid are all directly or indirectly based off European folklore. But literally no one gives a shit if you cosplay any of those CHARACTERS because youâre not dressing up as âa Daneâ or âa German,â youâre dressing up as âElsaâ or âRapunzelâ or âAriel.â Or is it ok for all âwhite peopleâ to cosplay those because âwhite cultureâ is the same everywhere thereâs white people? And are POC allowed to dress up as those characters? If you canât separate a character from the culture theyâre representing, then POC shouldnât be allowed to dress as Elsa/Rapunzel/Merida/Ariel/etc. if âwhite peopleâ arenât allowed to cosplay Moana.
Many Disney movies are âsteeped in cultural influenceâ because they are based off of fairy tales from different cultures. One of the great things about Disney movies is that they introduce these stories to people and cause them to be more interested in the folklore of these other cultures (even though classic Disney movies have quite distorted the source material). But I can tell you I would have never heard of many âclassic fairy talesâ were it not for Disney.
This is kind of moving away from the specific topic at hand (culture and movies), but culture is something that NEEDS to be spread and shared to survive. Isolating cultures from each other creates very clear âus vs. themâ lines between groups, while spreading different cultural values and practices is a way to bring people closer together by sharing experiences that mean a lot to them, and to enable different groups to better understand how the other thinks.
Separating people based on âcultureâ and saying âyou canât enjoy/participate in X because you arenât Xâ is how you make people racist, because you are inhibiting them from understanding another group of people and forcibly âotheringâ them from a specific group of people.
Edit since Iâd initially queued this: I saw geek-baits response regarding the commercialization of pacific islander culture and the specific mention of the âhula girlâ costume. I agree that this could be seen as racist. But the reason itâs racist is because itâs genericizing a group of people and boiling them down to a stereotype. If you are dressing up as a specific character, it by definition cannot be racist* because it is specific, not generic.
*the exception to this is if the way an individual portrays the character is in a racist way, for example, painting their skin dark orange to represent Moanaâs skin tone.
I canât decide whose side to take, everyone has a point. Itâs okay to cosplay as oneâs favorite character, regardless of the cosplayerâs race, but itâs also okay to really understand the characterâs culture and what they represent. Iâll just leave it up to the person who decides to cosplay that character or not.
What if Hanzoâs sideburns are actually just his hair growing back after having an undercut đ
Or someone told him that he looks old and unfashionable and bc of that he has changed his style completely :0 I bet it was D.Va or Mccree lmao So many theories xD sorry for my English!
currently trying to come to terms with Hanzoâs new look. Donât dislike, just messes up some fan art for me. And I still liked his old hair.
