A dumb hill I’ll die on is that I actually do agree with the headcanon that Jinx is at least slightly malnourished but not because “lmao Zaun poor” or anything along those lines. Her dad was one the wealthiest most powerful Zaunites there was who gave her whatever the hell she wanted, no Jinx herself just probably didn’t have a lot of regard for her own health and/or her mental illness often made it difficult for her to work up the energy to make herself a proper meal AND/OR she would hyperfixate on her projects and just straight up forget to eat. Do I think it ever went as far as being deliberately neglectful of her health (ie not eating on purpose) probably not no but she wasn’t going to waste her valuable time and energy on trivial things like making food

#powder was a very healthy well cared for well loved child #jinx took a long time to learn how to take care of herself #and to accept that caring for herself was important #plus mental illness making self care more of an effort #the body keeps the score etc etc #post S2 jinx gaining a bit of weight as a sign of healing when #jinx #jinx arcane #powder arcane #tw eating #tw eating issues

I don't know if I shared on Tumblr but the origin of the name was from our housemate shouting from another room about finding a 'suspicious zucchini' behind the bottom drawer of the fridge and my partner remarking that sounded like a perfect ao3 handle...and I had an FF7 fic I wanted to post so I jumped on that.

...with the running gag being that it sounds way more like a euphemism for something than it actually is haha. Nope it was a literal suspicious zucchini in the back of the fridge. So there you go, mystery solved.
