After suffocating myself in the studio with turps at 30+ centigrade yesterday, this is today's studio. Working on a new collection using homemade natural inks. These inks are made from plant matter collected at times of significant memory. One, primarily sloe berries collected on a wonderful 20k hike along the Jurassic coast with hubby. Probably the last time I actually felt relaxed. The other, fallen rose petals collected at the funeral of one of our best friends who tragically passed away during the first covid lockdown. Due to restrictions no more than a handful of loved ones could attend his funeral, so I walked the grounds to collect these. I'm painting with memories. And just like memories, being so natural, I have no idea how these inks will change or fade in time. There's a real beauty in that. #naturalink #homemadeink #memory #memorypainting #watercolour #paintingwithnature #paintingwithmemories #contemporaryart #contemporarypaintingartist (at Farnborough, Hampshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf8sI_FDf_D/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
