it’s been almost a month since the incident. it’s been hard; you’re in constant pain and i still get nightmares of that day. sometimes you wake up frightened, and sometimes i wake up lost but i still have you and that’s all that matters. the first day you came home, i cried. everything that once seemed jumbled and scattered finally fell back into place. i wasn’t able to call the apartment home without you in it. everything seemed dull, with no semblance of the home we built together. you’re finally home and i’ve never felt so complete. i loved you before i even knew what love truly meant and i’ll continue to do so. the moon to my stars, you are my home, my love.
