Noda had two panels to show what Vasily looks like under the mask and decided to make him look like that. I refuse to believe that's the face that made Shiraishi squirm.

I'd imagine that reconstructive surgery back then wasn't that great, and that Vasily wasn't too concerned about maintaining a smooth healing process. Admittedly, I still drew his scar super exaggerated compared to how it would look like in those circumstances. I was mostly just focused on making it look scary. However, even if i did draw it with a more medically conscious process, his scar in the original would still look much more tame in comparison. Why are you so smooth.

I wanted to give him dentures as a parallel to Ogata's prosthetic eye. It also looks scary when you view the teeth from the face hole. It's possible he might wear full dentures instead of partial ones as well. So cruel how Noda took his teeth. Let him chew, please.
