as the year ends I look at my sticky notes I taped over my desk from two years ago, goals, affirmations, and so much of what I wanted for myself. I could barely tick off the half in this same room ever since I was in high school I can't help but feel lost as I look out I wish I wrote something worthwhile, I wish I drew something that could perfectly capture a moment, a time, a feeling, but I know that's the dilemma of artists wanting to be something prominent? sisyphus pushing up rock kinda deal I always curled up at the corner of my room to think and tear up because its what im used to, just to feel small for a moment, to kind of marinate at the thought of the year ending, and I figured instead of crying it out as usual I wanted to write it down for myself as a small comfort I dont want to be here in this room forever, I want to work hard to get out of here and have this as my last new year's in this room ive lost a lot of time, a lot of myself, but I suppose I gained a lot of myself back too, I learned a lot about myself. but there's also this tiny little scared part of me thinking what if I didn't change? what if I was just talking to myself like many days I have before, and ive actually become worse of a person than before not a lot of things make sense, but I hope it does soon. its all I can do
