and there it was, the look of worry in the other's eye that he could spot from a mile away. kyōjurō had an interesting relationship with worry — not that it was something to be ashamed of, or to hide, but it always felt so strange when others expressed worry for him. it felt like something squirming in his stomach; something that felt wrong.
❝ah!❞ he looks down, and indeed, a patch of blood had started to form around the healing wound akaza had left in his midsection — healing was such a frustrating thing for the ex-hashira. that too, felt wrong.
it felt like something he should have to deal with on his own.
