On one hand this is pretty nifty, if not a little gimmicky. It’s quick. It’s simple. It’s relatively cheap. And it has a number of the classics we all know and love. On the other hand for roughly double the cost you can make a system out of a Raspberry Pi and an XBOne controller that could play not only these 30 games but the entirety of the NES collection, plus the collections of other systems including N64 and maybe PS1, plus rom hacks and other games. This is of course ignoring any hardware (a laptop, desktop, etc) that you may already have that could be used to run emulators as well. Plus what if I want to play Battle Toads, or Final Fantasy 2? Or Blades of Steel?
