His brothers love him and helped nickname him “Sunny” because his smile is like sunshine and he takes SUCH GOOD CARE OF THEM when they are hurt (aka his bedside manner is amazing). I LOVE HIM,,

He has only fought and killed ONE sentient being before, in defense of a brother, and fearfully has not touched his blaster since.

He very rarely speaks and most of his communication is nonverbal. He responds to commands appropriately and will speak with his patients if necessary, but other than that? Hand gestures, facial expressions, nodding, shaking his head, comforting touches, etc.

He knows and uses Galactic Standard Sign Language whenever he has the opportunity to use it. His batch-mate Flint was the one who helped him learn it through holovids.

The boy is so extremely tactile, it’s practically encoded in him.

He’s been known to hum or sing to fallen vode to comfort them. The others usually know someone’s condition is critical when this happens.

There are many smiles, hand holding, and loving touches in your future if you accept that sort of physical affection.

Literally how can General Kenobi deny medical treatment when a boy’s smile is this sweet??? Cody’s perfect planning usually involves getting Sunny to coax Obi-Wan into tending to any wounds or injuries he sustained in battle.

“I can’t thank you enough, Cody,” Obi-Wan said, sounds of mixing batter in the background coming to a stop for a moment. “I’m sorry I ruined your quiet evening. I shouldn’t have troubled you in the first place.”

Cody dodged around a shipping container, daring the plastic bag full of icing sugar to make a sound and give his position away. “You’re no trouble, Sir,” he assured and huffed out a quiet laugh at the murmured “I’ve heard differently” before moving to the next cover. “As long as I get my promised cake slice, it’s all good.”

“You’re too good to me, Commander.” The mixing started up again. “When will you arrive at the Temple?”

“ETA 30 minutes, Sir,” Cody replied absently, rolling his shoulders in preparation as he stepped out of the shadows and into the thugs’ view. “See you soon, General.” He switched off the comm and turned his attention back to the advancing bandits. “I had to take this call. Where were we?”
