With the development of social media, journalism has branched out into a quicker and more convenient way of conveying information. Now, news and information can be accessed instantly using various social media platforms such as facebook and twitter. This type of “People as Media” allows authors or journalists more journalistic freedom which can potentially help unknown writers get more recognition.

2. Crowdsourcing

Crowdsourcing is the practice of obtaining needed services, ideas, or content by soliciting contributions from a large group of people. This is done, typically, online. It involves the collective intelligence, skills, and resources of a community to solve problems or complete tasks.
