Its nearly summer, i just started a new job working with kids. Closer to the end of my shift when theres like 10 of them left, all i can think of is Camp Camp😭 those fics where Max never gets picked up oml. After school program Camp Camp AU where David has to stay late like everyday because Max is the only kid left.

Yk how the turtles never really had any character development during the show? That was so disappointing. I think alot about Mikey in particular because he's the youngest (and my favorite). The turtles would be about my age or older at the end of the 2k12 show. I just imagine all the ways they would go about their teenage years having no time to discover themselves. At the end when theres no more adventure, all of that teenage angst and grief would pile up full force. It would probably be really bad for awhile. There is so much life after your teenage years. The series is like a metaphor for the teenage experience in general. (Obviously not everyone, going off my experience) Things change in highschool and you're exposed. Fighting all these battles that feel like the entire world. Just chasing that end goal, which doesn't even land you at middle age. But once you grow up none of it matters anymore. The shredders and villains sort of fade into the background, showing themselves only casually. None of those villians that held you back need to be there anymore, at the cost of your childhood.
