aaaaa idk if you talked about him or not but I wanna ask your thoughts on Sinclair (I say as I am one of his very few fans) because a lot of fanon takes I see are “he’s a femboy” based… purely on just first glance imho.. (excluding the trans Sinclair headcanons, those are cool and rad)
I don't really care about sexuality or gender identity stuff considering I am basically fluid and Pansexual, Which means as long as they get to exist and be normal with other people about it. I'm fine with most of anyone and anything. But that's not the topic so since you want my thoughts on Sinclair...
By Tarot Theory, He is wheel of fortune moved down one space into Justice, the Original nexus of fates current, changed and moved into the role of deciding what is right and what is wrong. He serves as the moral compass alongside with Ishmael since the start, and sometimes points out the right path even when Dante doesn't know how.
Despite what the fandom thinks of him, he is an incredibly strong person. The fact that most of the time lines he moved on and remained good even in situations of extreme despair like the burning of his house, The death of his family, And even the Complete breakdown of his mind done by Franz Kromer is proof of that.
He is also the sinner with the most finger and Syndicate identities, getting three fingers and often times devout followers of their ideologies. Loyal to the point of suicide with the Thumb, a good member of the great family of The Middle, and The Ever Freeing yet bound Pinky Apprentice. And he fully puts his faith in the ideology of all three. Deeming it the right path.
What he is, is personal justice.
The ideology and the moral code. Your faith in whatever you believe in, manifested.
Which is why his sign Ability is to draw from the future. When you believe in your path forward, When you have enough motivation to stand as one with your beliefs, When you are certain the path forward shall be reached. No matter what.
Sinclairs growth is not about the physical body. The chattering of his world is not about facing the evil of man. The shattering of his world is the end of his childhood.
What marks the end of childhood?
The moment where you stop relying on a parent figure. The moment where you no longer need guidance from others to determine what is right and wrong. The moment where you reach your hand forward by your own will and walk your own path. To become mature, Is to no longer rely on others to Guide your path.
He is very clearly the most important Sinner alongside Gregor.
Which is why I think... Dante will be the last hindrance to the shattering of his world egg.
Dante. A person bound by fate itself to walk along the set path, being the last chain trapping the world egg from shattering.
And I think... With Ryoshu showing how The contract can be cut, Damien will do that for Sinclair, without realizing he is Acting on the behalf of Justice. Who had yet not choose to walk down the path.
What is right and what is wrong is often times subjective. To have another person define those for you is the removal of autonomy and soul. Look at Ishmael canto 5 for example
He and Damien will not be together, and will not join forces. No matter how much he longs for Damien.
Because he is to be independent.
The bird is to fly by his own wings. And live by his own will.
He cannot rely on the guidance of the snake anymore. It has already granted him Intelligence and wisdom. There is no more help to give.
