Like it convinced you experiencing regular human emotions makes you special and disordered (cool!) and that dressing in common clothing that isn't that mainstream, like a white shirt with a few frills and a brown skirt is somehow alternative. There's no culture around music anymore the trends have no meaning. Things like goth emo scene had music as the whole point. Nowadays all alt culture is just focusing on looking conventionally hot in clothes you only see in 6 out of 10 people ( so rare and alternative!). Also if you sometimes have moodswings you have DID or BPD. If you can't pay attention to anything longer than a TikTok you have ADHD because consuming hundreds of 13 second long videos definitely doesn't affect your brain. It's very sad
