Hi fellow writeblrs!! Some of you might now me as @ kai-writesstuf; but I decided to switch accounts, so here’s a reintroduction for you!

About me:

My name is Kai and I’m a nonbinary (my pronouns are they/them) and aroace writer and artist. I have a cat and I love plants and photography. 

I’m from Spain and English is my second language, so I still have much to improve when it comes to writing in English (I’ll try my best, though!).

On Tuesdays I’ll be posting OC art under the hashtag #Kai’s oc art

On Thursdays you can expect to see either random art (that means it’s not related to my writing) OR excerpts from my WIP, tag games, etc. These things will be under the hashtag #Kai’s random Thursdays

About my current WIP:

It’s called Daughter of Fairies and Humans, and (for now) it’s a trilogy. I’m still on my first draft of the first book, and right now I’m focused on refining the backstories of the main characters. I’ll go into detail in an introduction post next week, but here’s a little summary:

Lilian and her sister find a letter that reveals something very important in Lilian’s past. This letter was written by Lilian’s biological father, who she hasn’t seen in years and didn’t know about his existence because her memory was erased.

Lilian and Lizibella, her sister, will go on an adventure to find her father and find the truth about who she really is. On their way to the Lost Continent, she’ll meet new people, such as the twins Sanna and Nibbe.

My goals:

It’s been a while since I don’t use this app, so for now I’ll try to post consistently.

Meet new people.

Maybe finish the first draft of the first book this year.

Learn more and get better at writing.

What I’m looking for:

People that write fantasy (or any genre basically) and that include the following in their WIPs:

Title: Daughter of Fairies and Humans

Genre: Fantasy

POV: it varies depending on the character. Sometimes it’s third person, other times it is first person in the past (and I’m still thinking about this).

Status: Second WIP of the first book.

Features:

Daughter of Fairies and Humans is a trilogy. I don’t know the titles of each book yet; but I hope I can figure it out soon!

There’s a lot of LGBTA representation. In fact, I think that none of the main characters is cishet. Either they are not cis, not straight, or not cishet at all.

Most of the characters are PoC, and among them there is a lot of diversity.

There are characters with different disabilities.

Synopsis:

Lilian had lived all of her sixteen years of life peacefully with her siblings, until one day her sister Lizibella and her find a letter that reveals something very important in Lilian’s past. This letter was written by Lilian’s biological father, who she hasn’t seen in years and didn’t know about his existence because her memory was erased.

Lilian and Lizibella, her sister, will go on an adventure to find her father and find the truth about who she really is. On their way to the Lost Continent, she’ll meet new people, such as the twins Sanna and Nibbe.

So @kai-writesstuff wrote a bit about a tree that I hope is nothing like the Cthaeh.

This is not actually the last lines I wrote, but since those were for FlashFictionFriday, you've already seen them. Mostly. I did rewrite a bit, but not so much it's worth reposting. Thus I'll try this which I didn't write today, but I was thinking about adding to, so I wanted to go back to it anyway:

In that moment, that very moment, her smile began to crack.  And then the rest of her face, cracking like porcelain as it began to shatter, the pieces of pale skin falling in white shards to the ground.  That was when I saw the truth lurking behind her eyes, she hadn’t just stared into the abyss.  

She had risen from it.

Shower or bathtub? Cold shower with my thoughts, warm soaking bath with a book.

Rainy nights or starry nights? A clouded morning, still dark, before the oncoming dawn.

Kiss or embrace? A slap in the face is a bracing experience.

So I got double tagged (thanks @aziz-writes and @stardustscribes)! Tossing an entire paragraph here just because. This will probably be from chapter 3 or 4 of Fall.

Kurai asked himself why he did it. Why did he spare the girl – Sora – and take her sisters captive instead of killing them and being done with it? Was it the look in Sora’s eyes the day they fought in Celeste? It was though his beloved Damiana had returned… but no. Hers was a warm flame that only rarely spit and crackled. Sora was a wildfire – too fierce and bright to be his princess. And yet you would spare her the same pain, regardless, he thought. He, like her, had nothing. Nothing but his brother, who likely hated him now. More than he already did.

I’ve never really done much writeblr stuff. I’ve posted writing on my personal blog (which started out as a writing blog, tbh), but I figured it was time to make an actual writing blog.

So Hi!

I’m Mia. I’m a queer writer in their 20s (mid-late 20s, if I’m being honest, and for anyone who feels uncomfortable talking to people significantly older than them). They/Them or Nae/Naer pronouns, please! I write fantasy almost exclusively, but I occasionally broaden my horizons.

I’m going to focus mostly on short or flash fiction I think, stretch some muscles I haven’t used all that frequently, but I have a novel I started for NaNo 2017 that I’m still working to complete/edit!
