“Yep.” Summer looked up, grinning at KJ. “Don’t tell me you’re going to tell me to stop.” The C.A.R.M.A. agent could try, but Summer wasn’t about to stop her fun. She certainly wasn’t going to let KJ arrest her either. This gentle snow wasn’t all she could do after all.

Kaeden snorted, “Why would I tell you to stop this awesomeness?” She really wasn’t there to stop it, merely to enjoy it.

It was fun, being able to use her powers without threat of retribution from C.A.R.M.A.. Summer had made it snow, just in the park she was in, using her powers to stop the California heat from melting it away the second it touched the ground. Watching Californians who’d barely seen snow slip and slide on the ice was hilarious. She managed to mostly contain her laughter to sniggers until she saw a rather uptight business man slip in an extremely undignified manner. She burst out laughing, ignoring the looks she drew.

“Unless you’re planning on talking or buying me a drink, you can stop staring,” Alexandra said flatly. Maybe drinking after a day of fighting (when she no doubt had some bruise coming in somewhere) wasn’t the best idea, but she’d thrown intelligent thought out a while ago.

“Let me buy you a drink then.” Kaeden snickered.

Already stressed about the whole situation with Lucien suddenly being back combined with grief he’d been getting over the whole power negation thing, just walking in and seeing his office covered in what looked suspiciously like paint (as though people had been playing paintball of all things) was just enough to have the Commander see red.  Even taking a few deep breaths wasn’t enough to calm Sal down and, with a snarl, the Commander turned right back out the door and made his way toward the break room.

By the time he reached it, Sal’s jaw was clenched and his face red.  Stopping in the doorway, Sal glared around before speaking, his voice slowly raising in volume.  “Which of you absolute morons decided to play fucking paintball in my office?!”

Kaeden was mid bite when Sal came seething into the break room. She dropped her sandwich and put her hands up, “Wasn’t me bossman,” she said, though the words were muffled by the food she still had in her mouth.

“Most people aren’t telepaths, Kae.”

“So? Also, good point.”
